Nayte Olukoya Michelle Young The Bachelorette

The Bachelorette Alum Nayte Olukoya Denies Cheating On Former Fiancée Michelle Young

Nayte Olukoya is emphatically denying that infidelity led to his split from Bachelorette Michelle Young.

“No, I didn’t cheat,” the reality star wrote in a lengthy statement shared to his Instagram Stories over the weekend, as reported by Page Six.

Nayte‘s post was made after some fans on social media accused him of having been unfaithful to the Season 18 Bachelorette, a Minnesota-based former elementary school teacher who was first seen by Bachelor Nation in 2021 as a contestant on Season 25 of The Bachelor.

“Not every breakup needs to have someone to blame,” read Nayte‘s Bullet Point #2 in his two-part post, which contained 15 bullet points in all. Whoa! Could he possibly be protesting a bit too much?

Nayte continued his itemized denial/rant with Bullet Point #3 to confirm his own opinion, “Yes, many of you seem to paint me as a red flag/f–k boy. Maybe it’s the piercings and tattoos? Who knows. But I’m actually a decent guy, and I only want to continue getting better. As we should all want for ourselves.”

By BP #13, the assertion that his name is his name was accompanied by a statement that that would seem to be a personal, existential mantra of sorts, “My name is Babatunde Olufemi Robert Nathaneil Olukoya, and I will never live my life based on how others think I should live it. Period” he wrote. Okay then.

But that emphatic “Period” lost some of its “end of the conversation” tone as Nayte continued with BP #14 of the lengthy post, “For the kind people, sending kind things, and respecting both Michelle and I. THANK YOU.”

Still not the last word, as Nayte added a 15th Bullet Point and final thoughts on the subject with two “peace sign” emojis.

Nayte and Michelle announced their split earlier this month. The news followed Michelle’s public attempts to squelch rumors that the couple was on the outs.

“I will always acknowledge and appreciate the adventures, support, and growth both Nayte and this experience have brought me,” Michelle wrote in a statement. “At the same time, I’m deeply hurting and will need time and space to work through this heartbreak.”

Nayte echoed her sentiments in his own statement released at the time, “Michelle and I are going to move forward separately. Hearts are heavy, emotions are high, and we are dealing with this the best way we can.”

He added, “Michelle and I are naturally private people, and when it comes to this breakup, we will continue being so.” Except for that 15 point public statement, that is.

Hmmmmmm, is anyone else wondering if Nayte and Michelle timed their breakup so that either of them could take another run at love on Bachelor in Paradise? Stay tuned . . .

TELL US – DO YOU THINK NAYTE GOT A LITTLE CARRIED AWAY WITH HIS 15 BULLET POINT STATEMENT? DO YOU THINK THERE’S ANY CHANCE HE AND MICHELLE WILL REUNITE? WOULD YOU BE SURPRISED TO SEE NAYTE OR MICHELLE MAKE AN APPEARANCE ON BACHELOR IN PARADISE?
