When Paige DeSorbo and Craig Conover’s first Sewing Down South pillow collection sold out, they instantly knew they should do another one.
“Everyone reacted so [positively] to it,” the Southern Charm star said. “We wanted to bring it back, Our first collection was a limited capsule collection, and it sold out so fast. Working together is a big step in our relationship, and it was fun enough that we wanted to do it again!”
The new Paige 2.0 Collection features four pillows that reflect Paige’s love of a black-and-white color scheme and black leather. The new collaboration first drops on October 31 on the Sewing Down South website before launching at BravoCon November 3. Craig and Paige spilled the tea to PEOPLE.
Something new this way slithers
The new pillow collection features something new that the first one didn’t have: snakes.
“I’ve always seen snakes in high-end fashion,” the Summer House star says, “and I thought it was a really cool idea … Because it’s almost Halloween, it’s Scorpio season. I felt like it was a little dark and naughty and definitely a little different than Sewing Down South.”
“Paige is so good at styling things,” Craig adds. “She really is a genius with that stuff.” But while he loves his girlfriend’s input, he definitely has the last word at Sewing Down South.
“If I come up with an idea,” Paige continues, “he knows if the fabric will work, if it’ll look good on a pillow … But when it comes to the photo shoot and the colors and what the vibe is, I feel like Craig definitely lets me pull all the outfits. That is one time where he does not comment on whatever outfit I put him in because he knows it’s going to look good in the photo shoot.”
The new collection enabled the Bravolebrities to wed their mutual love of modern design and New York style.
“We’re fortunate that we have the two areas that we spend time in,” Craig adds. “We’ve got New York fashion, which I’m still trying to figure out. I’ll be so uncomfortable in what she puts me in and I’m like, ‘There’s no way that people wear this in public,’ and then I’ll get outside and I’ll be like, ‘Okay, I look pretty cool.’ And I think Charleston gives Paige a canvas to play with and be a little different. There’s certain things down here that you just don’t see in New York.”
Managing the dichotomy of work vs. home life
Despite the collaboration, Craig and Paige feel they’re doing a good job of separating their work from their personal lives.
“We love being at home,” says Paige.
“We have similar jobs [being on Bravo TV shows], and we enjoy getting to navigate life together,” Craig adds. “I think that’s the dichotomy of our relationship is we do work together, but that’s our life. We get to share it with everyone, which is really fun most of the time — unless I’m crying on camera.”
