‘Distraught’ Ramona Singer Plans to ‘Lay Low’ Following Racism Scandal

Former Real Housewives of New York star Ramona Singer had an eventful week. A Vanity Fair piece discussed how Bravo previously investigated Ramona. Basically, she allegedly used a racial slur in the presence of co-star Eboni K. Williams. Eboni was the franchise’s first Black housewife. Afterward, a complaint was issued. The investigation didn’t find any fault on Ramona’s part. According to the Vanity Fair piece, Ramona also allegedly used the “N-word” while speaking with a Black producer on the Bravo show.

Ramona is Ramona, so she texted a writer at Page Six to discuss the Vanity Fair piece. “And the word I used was ‘NWord’ Not n-g…” Ramona texted. Additionally, Page Six published a screenshot of the incriminating text.

That is when Ramona’s invite to BravoCon disappeared. Just like her job at the real estate firm, Douglas Elliman. After working at the firm since 2021, Ramona was fired.

Is it possible for Ramona to be quiet?

Now a source close to Ramona spoke to US Weekly. “She’s very upset by all of this. She’s been distraught. She will lay low right now,” the insider said. Hopefully, that includes a texting ban.

As for missing BravoCon? “Bravo execs didn’t say she couldn’t come. She had a conversation with them about attending and she said she was not up for it and was too distraught. It was a mutual agreement that it wasn’t the right time,” the source stated. “But ultimately, she made the choice that she didn’t want to go, and Bravo thought it was a good idea given everything going on.”

But a Bravo insider didn’t agree with Ramona’s version of events. Shocker! “Ramona was told she is not coming to BravoCon. It was not her choice to not attend,” the source close to Bravo said.

Ramona was enjoying her life

The first source explained Ramona’s feelings about RHONY. “She did the show but didn’t like being famous. It took her many years to get used to that.” The insider added, “She likes not being in the spotlight and she’s in a happy relationship with someone. Her daughter, [Avery Singer], is getting older and Ramona has a nice life.”

Meanwhile, the insider claimed that Ramona’s comments “were not directed at anyone.” The source stated, “She is not a racist. Ramona and Eboni had their ups and downs, but she never wanted problems or issues with her. She always thought she was very bright and pretty and always wished her well. And she thought everything was OK between them,” the insider added.

Well, it certainly sounds as if things are not okay in Ramona’s world right now.

TELL US – DO YOU THINK THAT RAMONA WILL ACTUALLY “LAY LOW?” WHAT SHOULD HER NEXT MOVE BE IN LIGHT OF THE RACISM SCANDAL?
