Peter Thomas Dropped by Lawyer Amid Miami Restaurant Eviction Battle

Another day, another story about Peter Thomas struggling to keep his restaurants afloat. This time, it’s Bar One Miami.

The former Real Housewives of Atlanta star has spent the last year fighting to keep his restaurant and lounge in business. His landlord sued him for unpaid rent, and Peter has been fighting in court to buy more time to get the money together.

Now, time is running out. He’s facing eviction. His lawyer just quit. Things aren’t looking good for Peter, and Radar Online reported all of the details.

Dangerously behind on rent

Peter’s legal trouble in Miami started in October 2022 when his landlord, Bentley Bay Retail filed a lawsuit against Peter, claiming that he owed $422,000 in back rent, sales tax, and utility charges.

In court, Peter tried to get the lawsuit thrown out. Meanwhile, he privately reached a deal with the landlord and agreed to pay $470,000. Surprise, surprise — that money never materialized, so the landlord is done playing around with Peter. They’re ready to evict him. They demanded that he needs to fork over the money ASAP or else they’ll kick him out of the space.

Also, to add insult to injury, Peter’s lawyer just asked to be removed from the case. Can you blame him for not wanting to work with someone who can’t pay their bills? In court documents, the lawyer wrote, “Irreconcilable differences have arisen between the Attorney and Defendant which render the Attorney unable to continue representing Defendant.”

Peter hasn’t responded to the latest demands from his landlord, as he’s probably scrambling to find another lawyer who’s desperate enough to represent him in this messy eviction case. Either way, with this much money owed, it seems like Bar One Miami’s days might be numbered.

TELL US – DO YOU THINK PETER CAN SAVE BAR ONE? ARE YOU SURPRISED THAT HE’S MANAGED TO FIGHT EVICTION FOR THIS LONG?
