Statistically, there are millions of Real Housewives fans across the world. However, even though many love to tune into The Housewives, it’s unlikely that the majority would want to live the life of a Housewife.
The lavishness, sure, but all the drama? Not to mention all the allegations that came out in 2023 about just how bad it supposedly is to be employed as a star by Bravo. It all sounds like more than anyone would want to deal with.
A couple who understands this all too well would be Robbie Williams and his wife Ayda Field. The American actress and former X Factor judge was scouted by Bravo for Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Sadly for fans, she turned down the reported offer of over $150k. Now, Robbie has given some insight into why.
Could Ayda Field join The Real Housewives?
On a recent episode of his SiriusXM show, Radio Andy, Andy Cohen interviewed Robbie, discussing the possibility of Ayda becoming a Real Housewife. “We’ve courted your wife on and off many times,” Andy said, “to be a Beverly Hills Housewife, which I think is how we met initially. Is that right?”
Robbie responded, “Kind of, yeah. Listen, my wife would be really good on it, but I’m absolutely terrified of the prospect of it.” Andy said he knew this, and Robbie continued, “As fascinating as it is for a fan, you invite a trauma whirlwind into your life.” Andy chuckled. “Listen,” Robbie continued, “I love putting my finger in the fire. That’s what I do.”
As such, he said there was a part of him that was “fascinated” by the idea of his wife joining the franchise. “But at the same time, I love being married to her. And I don’t want to invite a problem into our marriage.” Andy strangely agreed, saying, “Yes,” and “Good.” An odd thing for Andy to agree on considering the ways he defends the Bravo working environment.
