Traitors Star Predicts ‘Twists’ in Season 2, Discusses ‘Anxiety’ of Filming

Fans fell in love with Peacock’s newest competition series, The Traitors, when it hit the streaming service in January 2023. Cast members Brandi Glanville, Kate Chastain, and Kyle Cooke were a few of the Bravo stars who joined the mix in Scotland, ready to scheme their way to the $250,000 grand prize. Other reality TV vets, including Survivor legend Cirie Fields and Big Brother players Cody Calafiore and Rachel Reilly, also joined them, making for an entertaining and riveting batch of episodes viewers couldn’t get enough of.

Since the end of Season 1, we have been waiting patiently for the release of the second series. We found out back in September that the cast of Season 2 was packed with villains, icons, and some of the most savage contestants ever to play on television. Johnny Bananas (who just came in second on E!’s House of Villains) and CT Tamburello will be joined by Real Housewives Phaedra Parks, Larsa Pippen (and her boyfriend, Marcus Jordan), Shereé Whitfield, and Tamra Judge.

Based on the epic sneak peek released a few weeks ago, this season promises twists and turns like never before. Former Traitors UK contestant Wilf Webster spoke about the upcoming season, and what he expects will be different.

Thanks to the trailer and Alan Cumming’s teases about the new season, most fans expected there to be a significant change in the show’s format. Although we’ll have to wait and see exactly what the change is, Season 1 traitor Wilf said things have to be different this time around.

“There’s going to be some kind of twist or something,” he told Digital Spy. “It’s not going to be exactly as you’ve just seen on Season 1.

“Nobody wants to see that either; people are going to want to see things that are a bit different.”

And Wilf is right. Season 1 of The Traitors was so thrilling that viewers can only imagine what the new series will bring. “You don’t know what they’re going to do, and the day-to-day changes every day.”

Even though living in a castle in Scotland looks fun, the game can also be pretty challenging for the players involved — especially the traitors. They are tasked with secretly murdering their co-stars (the faithfuls) if they want to win the grand prize.

“I had real bad anxiety, and I struggled with my moral decisions,” Wilf said. “My moral compass was going nuts at me most of the time.” However, once his co-stars discovered his role in the game, Wilf said, “It felt like a release.” He added of his thoughts at the time, “I can just chill.”

The Traitors Season 2 begins streaming on Peacock on January 12.
