The Traitors Season 2 has featured many heavy hitters from Bravo shows like The Real Housewives, Married to Medicine, Shahs of Sunset, and Below Deck. Because of that, it’s safe to say they’ve been sticking together to keep each other safe. However, Kate Chastain was quite annoyed with Shereé Whitfield during the latest episode.
Host Alan Cumming led the players to a dark wooded area rather than the roundtable fans know and love. There, certain players were given a chance to save another player of their choice by taking a lit torch and lighting their post. Shereé was the first player chosen and then decided to save her former Real Housewives of Atlanta co-star, Phaedra Parks. When discussing Episode 7’s events in the Postmortem After Show, Kate explained why she thought Shereé’s move held them back.
Kate has questions about Shereé and Phaedra’s relationship
“I would say the most shocking moment of this sacrifice was when Shereé picked Phaedra,” Kate said during her chat with producers. “I don’t know why she did that and, frankly, I’m thinking, ‘Girl, don’t be so obvious with the Bravo girl alliance. You’re making it really obvious, Shereé, what are you doing?’ And then I start thinking maybe they’ve got a secret alliance within the alliance. Not quite sure what’s going on there.”
When Alan asked Shereé why she chose to save Phaedra instead of somebody else, she had a valid response. Shereé noted the intense questioning fellow Housewives received from other players like Parvati Shallow.
“I picked Phaedra because I don’t feel like people should be targeting people because of the show that we’re on. I believe that she’s Faithful,” Shereé said.
Although the episode finished on a cliffhanger, last night’s events could change the course of the game moving forward.
“I think that after the sacrifice, alliances that once existed are now shattered,” Kate said. “It can change that quickly from day to day when playing Traitors.”
