EXCLUSIVE: ‘No Truth’ to Claims Annemarie Wiley Was Fired From RHOBH for Political Views

A source close to Bravo tells Reality Tea “there is no truth” to the recent claims that Annemarie Wiley was fired from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills after just one season because of her political views.

The clarification comes after MailOnline suggested Annemarie butted heads with cast members such as Crystal Kung Minkoff because of her alleged support of former United States President, Donald Trump.

MailOnline’s report also suggested Garcelle Beauvais hit out at Annemarie’s support of “political conspiracy theorist” Candace Owens. Whether or not this did go down at the RHOBH Season 13 reunion taping, it didn’t have an effect on casting decisions.

Despite Annemarie being fired, Bravo isn’t playing politics with Real Housewives

The suggestion that political opinion would have an effect on casting was a confusing one. Housewives from all across the political spectrum have appeared, and continue to appear, on various shows within the Real Housewives franchise.

What is more likely, is that Annemarie was fired because she simply wasn’t a good fit. It’s something her husband, Marcellus Wiley, agrees with. He took to social media to rant about some of Annemarie’s castmates. But, he also agreed that his wife wasn’t right for the show.

“Personally, I’m glad she’s off the show, she was a horrible fit,” he wrote. “We all saw it, and it was obvious why. It’s impossible to truly know how FAKE you have to be to actually be a REAL Housewife.”

For his part, Marcellus has courted controversy in the past for his comments on transgender athletes. Perhaps it’s for the best that both are off the show.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is available to stream on Peacock.
