West Wilson is arguably the best thing to happen to Summer House in a long time. He and fellow newbie Jesse Solomon add a fresh vibe to the house amidst what might end up being one of the darkest summers for the OG group. The fallout of Lindsay Hubbard and Carl Radke’s engagement is imminent, and the red flags have started to show.
In recent episodes, Lindsay has enraged Summer House fans by repeatedly questioning Carl’s sobriety on camera. The accusations happened several weeks before Carl called off the wedding, but they were definitely severe enough to sting for a while.
The entire Summer House crew felt uneasy about Lindsay’s accusations toward Carl, including the lovable new additions.
West defends Carl’s sobriety
In a recent interview with Us Weekly, West was asked if he ever questioned Carl’s sobriety during their shared time in the Hamptons.
“No, never,” West said without hesitation. “I’ve never seen Carl not stoic and in control.” West always knows how to say what the fans want to hear, and I can’t hate him for it.
West did admit that he’s watching a lot of Carl and Lindsay’s fights from the summer for the first time, alongside fans of Summer House. He isn’t sure if Lindsay’s accusations were the final straw for Carl in their relationship. Especially considering the breakup happened long after the blowup.
“He stuck it out all summer,” West said. “It was something that, objectively, we all kind of reflect on it and say it’s probably not the best thing to do to your significant other.” I think many of the Summer House fans can totally agree with West’s take on the situation.
