Jailed Todd Chrisley Receives Another Financial Hit

There’s more bad news for Todd Chrisley and the rest of the Chrisley Knows Best gang.

According to WSB-TV and court documents, a federal jury found in favor of a Department of Revenue investigator who said Todd launched a vicious online crusade against her. The complaint read that the reality star “began a social media campaign against the GDOR and certain of its employees, contending that the investigation was illegal and improperly motivated.”

Further, the papers stated Todd “began attacking” the investigator and “accusing her of a multitude of crimes and wrongdoing.” The jury found the now-imprisoned reality star liable for one count of libel and slander. Later, they awarded the investigator compensatory damages of over $300,000 and punitive damages of $170,000. Lastly, Todd will be held responsible for their attorney fees, bringing the total to $755,000 in damages.

Will the Chrisleys be home in time for the summer season?

It’s been over a year since Todd and Julie Chrisley began their separate prison sentences. They were convicted for their role in conspiring to defraud multiple banks out of millions of dollars.

The pair were sentenced to a combined 19 years in prison, with Todd set to serve 12 and Julie seven. Since trading in their custom couture for orange jumpsuits, their stay has been far from easy. Many reports suggested Todd was having conflicts with the staff in his prison. He’s spoken out, saying they’ve denied him church services and phone calls with his wife and have tried to blackmail him and his family for money.

Savannah Chrisley, Todd and Julie’s daughter, has been vocal about her family’s journey. She, along with her parents, believe their time in prison will come to an end this summer, with their appeal hearing set for later this month.
