Whoopi Goldberg recently expressed her views on Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck‘s rekindled romance before their divorce, which was finalized in January. The recipient of the EGOT showcased her disinterest in discussing the two high-profile celebrities’ split with the other hosts on the March 27 episode of “The View.” During the discussion, Goldberg revealed that she didn’t believe that what Lopez and Affleck had was “true love.”
Whoopi Goldberg appears disinterested over JLo and Ben Affleck’s divorce debate on ‘The View’
Whoopi Goldberg’s reaction to the discussion on Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s divorce on “The View” grabbed fans’ attention. During a new episode, the topic of the two celebrities’ split was brought up, along with Affleck’s latest GQ interview. It soon led to a debate between all the hosts on the talk show. However, the highlight of that discussion was Goldberg’s response to co-host Sunny Hostin’s comment on Affleck and Lopez’s rekindled romance.
When Hostin said, “This was supposed to be true love between Ben and J.Lo,” Goldberg quickly responded with, “No, you said it was true.” She continued, “You’re the only one who believed that.” When Hostin tried to explain why she believed it, the comedian made a hilarious collapsing gesture at the table. Through that, she tried to convey how tired she was of talking about Lopez and Affleck’s split.
Meanwhile, Ben Affleck recently got candid about his relationship and split with J.Lo in a new interview with GQ Magazine. While talking about Lopez’s documentary, “The Greatest Love Story Never Told,” which he was also a part of, he said, “My temperament is to be a little bit more reserved and private than hers.” He continued, “As happens in relationships, you don’t always have the same attitude towards these things.” The actor further said, “You’ve got to own what you knew going into any relationship. And I think it’s important to say that wasn’t the cause of some major fracture.”
