UPDATE: May 16, 2025 — Alexis took to Instagram to reveal the unedited version of her Instagram Stories post, which read “It’s getting real.. I can’t wait to be yours @johnwjanssen [hearts emoji].” Reality Tea initially used a different version of the post, sourced on BravoTV, which we’ve now learned was not contextually accurate. Original report follows…
Wedding plans are officially underway for Alexis Bellino and her fiancé, John Janssen. The Real Housewives of Orange County alum just gave fans a peek into her big-day prep, and things are getting serious.
Though she had to walk away from RHOC, she and her “Johnny J” will soon be walking down the aisle.
It’s “getting real” for Alexis Bellino and John Janssen ahead of their wedding
Alexis gave fans a major update on her Instagram Story this week by showing off her and John’s gold and white save-the-date cards displayed in front of a bouquet of pale pink tulips. “It’s getting real…I can’t wait to be yours,” Alexis wrote.
While the invite didn’t spill the wedding date or location, Alexis has previously confirmed to Bravo TV that she and “Johnny” will be tying the knot in summer 2025. Back in April, she said the wedding would happen “later this year”—so basically, it’s about to be go time. The two got engaged in August of last year. “Lexi” and Johnny are so in love that he doesn’t even want a prenup. What could go wrong? Well, John’s ex/Alexis’ nemesis Shannon Beador’s attorneys could probably think of a few things.
And if you were expecting a full Bravo-style blowout with Housewives in matching gowns and a roaming glam squad, think again. Alexis shared earlier this year that the wedding would be “very unconventional” with “no bridesmaids or groomsmen.”
Instead, Alexis and John are planning a low-key ceremony with a guest list capped at 100—though Alexis admits they’re already at 80 with just close friends and family.
Alexis has already picked her gown, and she promises it’s a jaw-dropper. Some of her friends have already seen the dress but have been “sworn to secrecy.”
“It is unconventional, head to toe,” she said. “The gown is actually complementing exactly what we want the wedding to be.” She also teased that John “is going to die” when he sees her in it.
The Real Housewives of Orange County streams on Peacock and Hayu in the UK and Ireland.
