Real Housewives of Potomac stars Gizelle Bryant and Ashley Darby didn’t always see eye to eye over the years. However, the duo has developed a friendship after filming RHOP together for nine seasons. Plus, both ladies checked into Bravo’s Love Hotel, along with Real Housewives of New York alum Luann de Lesseps and Shannon Beador from The Real Housewives of Orange County. After filming Bravo’s first dating show, Ashley is giving an update on her friendship with Gizelle.
Bravo’s Love Hotel brought RHOP co-stars Ashley Darby and Gizelle Bryant closer
Ashley, whose divorce from Michael Darby was finalized in February 2025, is looking for love, just like her RHOP co-star. None of the stars of Love Hotel have been lucky in that department. Yet.
“I will say that even my relationship with Gizelle changed quite a bit. I mean, yeah, we talk. We talk like for a couple minutes, here and there,” Ashley told The Daily Dish. “But we actually got to spend three solid weeks together, without our children, without anybody else really interfering. So, our relationship grew exponentially.”
Ashley also enjoyed bonding with Shannon and Luann in the Love Hotel. “I’ve met them like in passing, but to actually spend that much time together, it was such a treat,” Ashley said. “These women, they’re entertaining and they’re funny and they’re witty and they’re smart and they’re charismatic.” She added, “And I’ve seen that like as a viewer of the shows, and now, like, I got to actually experience it for almost a month.”
Still, it is great to see the friendship between Ashley and Gizelle grow. The two recently partnered on an athleisure brand, GnA. Later, the company’s name was changed to GnA fusion, and it addressed the health and wellness space.
“She knows her value. She knows her worth,” Ashley stated. “And she accepts absolutely nothing aside from the best.” She added, “And I appreciated that, because sometimes I would try to make excuses a little bit for people … and Gizelle is very quick to correct me – like, you should have standards.”
