After getting the boot from The Real Housewives of Atlanta eight years ago, we’ve watched Phaedra Parks jump from reality show to reality show with varied success. She went on The Traitors, and people fell back in love with her shady antics. Her two-season run on Married to Medicine wasn’t nearly as triumphant.
On RHOA Season 16 Episode 12, Porsha Williams helped usher Phaedra back to where her reality career started. Phaedra said she’s confident that this time, she’s here to stay.
Phaedra Parks is back on RHOA “for the long haul”

When Phaedra made her return in the latest episode of RHOA, she briefly addressed the controversy that got her removed from the show in the first place. That might be the last we hear about it because now, she’s focused on the future. In a new interview with the New York Post, she explained why her RHOA return feels correct.
“Porsha basically called me as well, like, ‘Hey, would you consider it?’ And I love Porsha. Frick and Frack is always fun, always about friendship,” Phaedra said. “That really made me really think about it seriously.”
According to Phaedra, she and Bravo had been “talking about” her coming back to the show for a while. She didn’t mention how much Kandi Burruss might have played a role in preventing that from happening. Either way, she’s thrilled to finally be back on RHOA and has no plans of going anywhere.
“It feels good to hopefully be a part of the resurgence of the Housewives because, you know, they took a dip,” Phaedra claimed. “So hopefully we can bring them back to stellar status. Obviously, it’s very nostalgic for people who have watched me have both of my sons on television to now see them as tweens.”
If it’s up to Phaedra, we might be seeing her sons as teenagers and beyond. She made it clear that this comeback wasn’t just to fill in the gaps of Season 16. She wants to be in it for the “long haul.”
“I am loyal to who’s loyal to me. I love NBCUniversal, Peacock, and they’ve been great to me,” Phaedra said. “And so I will definitely be great to them.”
The Real Housewives of Atlanta airs on Sunday nights at 8/7c on Bravo. The show streams on Hayu in the UK and Ireland.
