Season 12 of Below Deck is off to the nautical races. Returning to the deck team is Kyle Stillie, a relatively drama-free deckhand whom we first met in Season 11. But, according to the trailer for Season 12, Kyle has a wild storyline ahead. And his costar in this mess might just be one of his married charter guests onboard.
Captivating edits play a significant role in any reality television series. However, this upcoming teased scandal might be valid, as both Kyle and Fraser Olender have recently mentioned this narrative in the press. So, what have these men teased, and do their statements match what we all saw in the Below Deck Season 12 trailer?
The Below Deck Season 12 trailer teases Kyle Stillie hooking up with a married charter guest
During Below Deck Season 11, Kyle somewhat enjoyed a boatmance with Barbie Pascual. Their romance was frustrating, as Barbie constantly worried about how her father at home might react to their loved-up scenes. Yet, Kyle stayed the course, earning her admitted feelings of love by the end of this season. However, the morning after their declared love sounded, Barbie abruptly ended things with Kyle.
Cue Bravo, bringing this single deckhand back to star in Below Deck Season 12. However, the trailer for his second season teases that Kyle might have jumped out of one frustrating frying pan only to land directly into another.
In the first scene involving this scandal, we see Kyle swimming in the water, cradling one of their guests. On land, Bosun Damo Yorg jokes, “Stillie’s either in there making our tip or losing our tip.” Captain Kerry Titheradge appears next in his wheelhouse, telling Kyle, “The crew thinks you’ve banged a charter guest.” At dinner with the crew following this guest’s departure, Fraser retorts, “That’s not okay.”
Then Kyle appears in a confessional, cheekily asking, “Was it a joke?” Finally, the music heightens, showing Kyle with a woman on the beach in the dark, heavily making out as Kyle returns to his confessional, sighing.
What has Kyle Stillie said about his Below Deck Season 12 marital scandal?

As of now, only one episode of Below Deck Season 12 has aired. Episode 1, however, did not contain any further details about Kyle’s alleged upcoming scandal with a married charter guest. Instead, we were (not) blessed with another charter guest who prefers his steaks borderline burnt, which, EW. But, for the nosey nellies in this room (raises hand), Kyle has mentioned his upcoming scandal in the press, and his words are rather revealing.
In an interview with E! News post-filming, Kyle urged fans to “stay tuned” because he thinks we will “be interested to see what the outcome of this [teased storyline] was.” Kyle also revealed that “Damo was a good mate,” as Damo urged him to speak with Captain Kerry about his alleged interactions with this guest. Kyle will (apparently) take his advice to heart, as he next explained that his chat with Captain Kerry was “rough” since it occurred “the day after my birthday. So, hungover and having to go and have that conversation with Cap, [it] wasn’t a good day,” Kyle noted.
Captain Kerry likely does not take this conversation well either. According to Kyle, his day worsened “after what [Captain Kerry] does” in response. Luckily for Kyle, however, he still “made it to the end of the season,” avoiding a firing over this rumored incident.
Fraser Olender and Captain Kerry Titheradge also spoke about this upcoming marital scandal on Below Deck Season 12

Fraser and Captain Kerry have also spoken up about this mess in the press. But Fraser cannot judge, as he has also been there and done that in seasons past. Therefore, he “can’t speak negatively about [hooking up with a guest].” But, “What is a hard no is on charter,” he explained. Likewise, Fraser adds that it is “a hard no” to engage in “something whilst their married significant other is around.”
Unfortunately, this scandal will become the catalyst for many other issues onboard, Fraser adds. This storyline will soon “spiral into something that no one saw coming. So it’s the beginning of the end,” Fraser ends.
Meanwhile, Captain Kerry chatted with US Weekly, confirming that “there was an investigation done” regarding this incident. However, Captain Kerry is “not too sure how much of that [investigation] will be shown, but I did a thorough investigation before I made my decision,” he revealed. Yet, “It will be interesting to see what happens after I interviewed each of the crew members, including what was said behind [my back],” he said.
Regardless of how this scandalous storyline airs on Below Deck Season 12, Kyle has already marked himself safe from any firings. So now, we have many questions in return.
Below Deck is streaming on Peacock and Hayu in the UK and Ireland.
