Filming on Below Deck Season 12 has wrapped. Soon, nine messy yachties will join Captain Kerry Titheradge on Motoryacht St. David. From the sound of things, the drama will be higher than any other season thus far.

I will break down the Below Deck Season 12 trailer in a bit. This new season might be the first time that the drama from the guests rivals that of the crew. And for their service, we say thanks.

Can the crew coming on board handle this trainwreck? Why was a police helicopter featured in the BD Season 12 trailer? And most importantly, when can we expect to see the new season? We will answer all of these questions for you now.

The Below Deck cast for Season 12

  • Captain Kerry Titheradge
  • Chief Stew Fraser Olender
  • Chef Lawrence Snowden
  • Bosun Caio Poltronieri
  • Deckhand Jess Theron
  • Deckhand Kyle Stillie
  • Deckhand Damo Yorg
  • Stew Barbara Kulaif
  • Stew Rainbeau de Roos
  • Stew Solène Favreau

Of the ten names featured above, only three are known (to us). Captain Kerry is back in the wheelhouse, continuing his newfound reign on this series. He demands respect this season, but various guests and crew members might give him a run for his tip money. Thankfully, the ever-witty and charming Fraser Olender will be at his side, reprising his role as his Chief Stew for BD Season 12.

Finally, we have Kyle Stillie, who returns to this series as a deckhand. Caio Poltronieri will appear as his Bosun. Rounding out this team are deckhand newbies Jess Theron and Damo Yorg, who both have experience in this industry (thankfully).

Fraser is getting three new Bravo stews: Barbara Kulaif, Rainbeau de Roos, and Solène Favreau. According to the trailer, these newbies will not present as a happy-go-lucky squad. Likewise, Chef Lawrence Snowden loves Jesus, yet he does not love the distasteful antics on board. His inner monologues will hopefully be loud, present, and overly accounted for this season on BD.

I called this team several months ago after lurking on their socials. The only thing that gives me pause is the chef aspect. Lawrence was never on my radar, but as he notes his discomfort in the trailer, perhaps my final prediction will still ring true, bringing us the return of Chef Anthony Iracane.

The Below Deck Season 12 trailer teases explosive drama

On Tuesday, April 22, Bravo released the supertease for the upcoming season of BD. Within the first few seconds, the maritime police enter the chat. No, this is not a rebirth of the Below Deck Mediterranean Season 5 maritime storyline from hell, but instead, the actual police are coming on board.

After hearing about an emergency, we see a tender filled with maritime police approaching the St. David as crew members inside cry. A helicopter circles overhead. On the ground, a female voice announces that the charter is getting canceled. “F*ck you, Captain,” says another (or maybe the same) female as the scene cuts to Captain Kerry, reminding a group of ladies that he is the only authority on board.

The scene shifts again, showing missing luggage left at the dock, fire dancers, a night kayak tour complete with LED lights, a pillow fight, and (literal) fireworks. Then, a guest sends a dish back as Fraser sasses his guests, saying, “Drink your drink and shut up until you get yours.” While this seems shocking, my money is riding on this being a mean-on-purpose-styled dining experience. Long live any restaurant where you get paid to hate your guests and their lives.

Meanwhile, Damo has “Peter Pan syndrome.” In contrast, Lawrence has a case of the divine, saying, “Once you get the Holy Spirit inside of you, God changes you into a different person.” Returning to the dark side, Captain Kerry tells Kyle, “The crew thinks you banged a charter guest.” Speaking of banging, a five-day charter filled with porn stars is coming ashore, which may or may not be what sets Lawrence off.

In the wheelhouse, a “mate” is fired. On deck and in the clubs, hookups galore appear from this “beautifully incestual crew.” Consider us seated.

Below Deck Season 12 location revealed

Below Deck Season 12 was filmed in Sint Maarten.

When Below Deck Season 12 airs, we will all be transported to the Caribbean constituent country of Sint Maarten. Sint Maarten is a part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. It exists on the southern part of a Caribbean island shared with Saint Martin, and the views here are stunning beyond words.

Ten islands exist in Sint Maarten. But, within a short sail away are even more gorgeous and lush locales, including Anguilla and St. Barths, which the Motoryacht St. David will also explore. Famous for their distinctive blend of French and Dutch influences, paired with unspoiled white sand beaches, these Caribbean territories will likely host unforgettable, island-hopping charters for the guests on BD Season 12.

To support this prediction, in the trailer, the cast starts murmuring about Kyle and his potential guest hookup on one of these beaches. Similarly, planes fly low over Maho Beach in Sint Maarten, allowing the crew members and guests unique photo opportunities during this season.

Below Deck Season 12 premieres on Monday, June 2, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo.

A firing, a joke about a guest hookup that might be real, the arrival of maritime police and their helicopter, a chef with an eye on Jesus but a body stuck on a hell-seeking yacht, where everyone is making out with everyone else, all sound like delightful narratives. No, I do not think this cast will soon deliver us their best sunshine and rainbows. Instead, I am holding space for this season’s ability to surpass all others, bringing back the drama we all need to help us escape our equally disastrous timelines.

Below Deck Season 12 is returning to Bravo this June 2 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

Below Deck is streaming on Peacock and Hayu in the UK and Ireland.
