In the Season 7 premiere of Real Housewives of Miami, we get a closer look at how Larsa Pippen and Marcus Jordan’s on-again off-again relationship impacted everyone around them. We also learn what eventually helped her end it for good. It was her kids and she credits them with giving her the strength to leave.
It was such a rocky relationship from the get-go, and everyone remembers when Scottie Pippen’s ex-wife started dating Michael Jordan’s son. It was all over the news and not everyone took kindly to the new couple. But they doubled down. There was even talk of marriage among the rumors. The couple eventually split and on the third try the split was final.
Larsa Pippen admitted her Marcus Jordan relationship wasn’t good for her family
In the premiere of RHOM, Larsa addressed how she and Marcus kept breaking up and getting back together. It was a vicious cycle with many feeling like she was crying wolf every time she broke up him
Lisa Hochstein even referred to their breakup as “fake” causing a bad argument to erupt between them. Despite how painfully Lisa phrased it, it’s understandable where she was coming from considering the sheer number of the times the couple called it quits.
But Larsa eventually saw the error of her ways. She talked to her mom about it in the premiere episode. “I’m kind of used to being alone now. Especially when you’re with the wrong person, it’s definitely better to be by yourself,” she said.
She also revealed how she finally cut him off. “You know what’s crazy? When I was with Marcus, my kids were like, ‘Stop getting back together and breaking up, and just get off the ride.’ That’s when I was like, I need to get away from the situation. My kids think that it’s not good for me.”
Fortunately she listened to her kids and walked away in July 2024. Marcus did not handle the split well and said some nasty things about her. And earlier this year, he was caught for a DUI, resisting an officer, and ketamine possession. Looks like she made the right choice.
He definitely has some things he has to work out. And luckily for Larsa, she removed herself from the equation before it got really messy.
