Since Teddi Mellencamp revealed that she was fighting cancer, fans have rallied around the former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star. The Bravoleb has been extremely open with her health journey in hopes of encouraging others to go get their skin checked.
Teddi Mellencamp is suffering from new headaches amid cancer battle
Teddi was first diagnosed with Stage 2 melanoma in late 2022. Her good friend, Kyle Richards, was the one who encouraged her to go get checked out by a doctor after spotting an abnormal spot on her back. After multiple surgeries, Teddi found herself suffering from debilitating headaches in February 2025. She was rushed to the hospital and learned her skin cancer had metastasized to her brain in lungs. The result was multiple tumors.
Teddi is still trying her best to record her podcast, Two Ts In A Pod with Tamra Judge. After taking a short break, Teddi is back and filling fans in on her current situation. In a clip, fans could hear Tamra asking Teddi to give the listeners an update. Teddi revealed she decided to get another scan due to her recent episode of headaches. Thankfully, Teddi only had positive news to reveal. “I had gotten pretty nervous because I started getting headaches again. So I was like, ‘Oh no, that was the sign of this happening in the first place. I hope it means that the tumors aren’t getting bigger again.” She added, “The doctors came in and said that the tumors have not grown at all. If anything, they’re shrinking. I am in the 1% range of improvement, but I am still stage 4 cancer.”

Teddi shared that her headaches were due to stress, lack of sleep, and dehydration. Tamra, who is Teddi’s best friend, was thrilled with the news. Tammy Sue went on to ask Teddi if she felt a sense of relief after the scan. Teddi contemplated the answer for a moment, asking her co-host, “Do you want me to lie?” She then noted, “No, there wasn’t. Because I believe I’m going to go in and they’re going to say, ‘Wow, it’s a miracle and you no longer have any cancer.’” The mother of three added, “But there’s also the immunotherapy and the cancer-free bell [at the cancer treatment facility], and I look at it and I get really down, like will I ever be able to ring it?”
However, her doctors are also encouraging her to stay positive. Teddi shared a story with followers saying, “My doctor said, ‘Now that I follow you on Instagram, I see some of the stuff that people write.’” She continued, “’Just because that happened to somebody’s friend, aunt, brother or cousin doesn’t mean that’s what’s happening to you. You should be having fun and trying to laugh.’” So she’s trying to take the doctor’s advice. Teddi gushed about her new puppy. She told fans, “He is amazing, and his name is Maverick. He’s so beautiful. I love him so much.”
What’s next for Teddi Mellencamp amid dating backlash and new boyfriend rumors?
Even though Teddi is facing a long battle, some feel it is okay to come at the reality star over her recent choices. During the podcast, she shared, “People have been coming to me about fostering a dog, and they’ve been coming to me for dating. They say ‘The only thing she should be worried about right now is her kids and staying alive.’” Tamra quickly took to Teddi’s side to defend her actions, noting, “If you want to date, life doesn’t stop because you have cancer.” Teddi couldn’t agree more as she added, “Yeah. And if I want to put myself in a situation where I’m staying busy so I’m not getting depressed, why have a problem with that? Clearly, I’m not going on dates while my kids are sitting here, looking up, waiting to hang out with me.”
Teddi giggled as she revealed a bit about her new love interest to Tamra. “Yes, I’m dating a guy, and yesterday we went on a walk, and we went to Gelson’s and then we went to the mall to pick up Slate’s graduation dress,” she shared. Teddi noted, “He doesn’t stay at the house with the kids, but we go to workouts together. We’ve gone on dates. He’s been really nice, he’s very kind to me.” Fans continue to hope that Teddi will soon be on the mend, with most being happy that she is living life to the fullest.
