Season 7 of Love Island USA is exceeding viewers’ expectations with its steamy couples and messy love triangles. Once again, Ariana Madix is killing it as the host. And as much fun as it is watching these sexy singles, eventually, someone has to leave. Unfortunately for Belle-A Walker, she was the first Season 7 contestant ousted from the villa.
Belle-A’s name caused conversation during her time on Love Island USA

Belle-A was coupled up with Nic Vansteenberghe. That is, until bombshell Cierra Ortega coupled up with Nic, leading to a crazy love triangle. Naturally, Nic was leading both girls on, and in the end, he chose Cierra. So, Belle-A packed her bags and left Fiji behind.
Now, Belle-A is revealing how she got her unique moniker. “It goes back in my family history. My nana, her name was Ann Annie, so she named my mom Vera-Ann,” Belle-A told PEOPLE. Then, her “mom wanted to give me a piece of nana as well, so she named me Isabelle-Ann.” She added, “It’s on my birth certificate. It really is legit.”
She continued, “When I started going by Bella, I wanted it to make sense with my name still. So that’s why I started going by Belle-A.” Meanwhile, Belle-A was so worried about her family’s reaction to her joining the show that she told them the day before she was scheduled to depart for Fiji.
“I was genuinely terrified of how my parents would receive the news,” Belle-A explained. “They ended up just embracing me with arms wide open, being more proud than anything, and supporting me.” She added, “So I was terrified for no reason.” And when she returned from Love Island USA, she received the same reaction. According to Belle-A, her family “wrapped me in love and unconditional support, and I feel so blessed by the support system that I do have.”
Love Island USA is streaming on Peacock.
