The relationship that brought so much content to Season 5 of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City is over. Britani Bateman confirmed that Jared Osmond ended their romance. And she is standing strong in her convictions not to fall back into old patterns of on-again off-again.
RHOSLC viewers got a front row seat to all the drama. Jared seemingly skirting labels with Britani while DMing with Angie Katsanevas’ “brow girl.” The RHOSLC newbie often seemed flustered in his presence. Yet hailed the validity of their trysts to the rest of the group. And even now, the finality of the breakup is suspect.
Britani Bateman was shocked by the Jared Osmond breakup
“Last week, Jared Osmond broke up with me for the very first time in two whole years,” Britani dished to Us Weekly. “He broke up with me. It’s just a shocker.”
Perhaps Donny Osmond’s nephew had a change of heart. Because Britani then said that he’s been trying to win her back. However, Jared is saying something different.
“A couple of days ago, he came begging back. He begged me back,” she explained. “He came and knocked on my window at 8 a.m. in the morning, and I was trying to sleep. … I was like, ‘What is happening?’ I was rubbing the crusties out of my eyes, checking my breath.”
By contrast, Jared responded to the claim by saying he went over because Britani “wanted to talk.” He also admitted to not being “all in” in regards to his romance with the reality TV star. Conflicting statements aside, the RHOSLC star is adamant that she will not be getting back with her former beau.
Britani explained, “We just don’t want the same things. I gave him a list of what I need out of a relationship to make it work and he said, ‘I can’t comply.’ I said, ‘OK, well, come back to me when you’re ready to.’ I’m single as of a week ago. I’m doing great. I’ve got my daughter with me. I’m focusing on my girls. What’s more important than that?”
It’s an important admission for Britani, who revealed the strained relationship she had with her two daughters while filming.
Jared blamed RHOSLC as the catalyst for the breakup
Jared claimed to Us Weekly that RHOSLC was the “biggest wedge” between them. In response to her comments, he called filming the “hardest thing.” The musician doesn’t “want the fame of being a reality TV star.”
Perhaps reality TV holds up too much of a reflective lens for the Utah native. Jared pointed to Britani speaking “so poorly” of him while filming.
“I will always love Britani. She is a wonderful woman,” he concluded. “She speaks so poorly of me sometimes, but I will speak highly of her because she’s an amazing girl.”
