Welcome to the recap for The Valley Season 2 Episode 12. In the last episode, Jesse finally found the courage to put his theories to the test and question Aaron. The Bookos and Capernas seemed to bury the hatchet, but only time will tell. This week, Kristen finally becomes a fiancée. However, Brittany feels hurt when she discovers she was left out of the big secret proposal. So here’s exactly what happened in The Valley Season 2 Episode 12 Recap: “Will You Maui Me?”
Luke is a functioning panic attacker

The episode picks up with Kristen and Luke steering clear of the group. Luke’s grandmother isn’t doing too well, and his emotions, coupled with his upcoming proposal, are doing his head in. The cast becomes drunken messes, with Jesse taking the cake. He noted how he was able to stare at Brittany’s chest for free and tried to force-feed his friends alcohol. Yet, Danny gets the bad rap? Wild.
Aaron also seems to feel more empowered to speak out against his foe. But Jesse has a plan, and Mr. Tough Guy with rolled sleeves is ready to make his appearance. He asks Michelle’s boyfriend to “hold back,” and the tension is palpable. Jesse jumps straight to the point, “Did you or did you not cross a line when I was married to Michelle? Physical or emotional? In any way did you cross a line?” And while fans thought there might be a bigger conversation, Aaron is smart and shuts it down. He states, “No. Absolutely not. We texted here and there. It was once for that coffee meeting at Blackwood. And another time, when I told her, ‘Hey, come to Runyon, I’m selling honey.’ But other than that, we’d run into each other all the time.” I’m going to say it; this is sketch!
The Valley made me cry!

Per usual, just hours before Kirsten and Luke’s big moment, the man himself loses his cool. He is frazzled, wandering the hotel with no pants and snorting wasabi. Detective Doute is out of her element. She’s missing all the clues. And who knew it would be so hard to convince a grown woman to take a shower? But it appears fish guts and their smell are okay in her book. To make matters worse, Luke almost misses the “good light” because Kristen was sitting on his bag, aka THE RING! The chaos was real.
But the big day finally comes! To get everyone in the mood, the local stingrays decided to put on a mating show for the couple. Even amid the humidity and almost mini-meltdown, the moment couldn’t have been more perfect. Kristen deserves this spotlight episode. I cried. My sister cried. Everyone cried watching this proposal. The words were sweet, and the support was genuine. These two are in love. And Luke, you’ve redeemed the men on Bravo. In the immortal words of Kristen, “I’m just so happy.”
Brittany is left out

After the big question, Zack is left to call the rest of the cast for an impromptu party. However, Brittany doesn’t exactly take the news well. Brittany isn’t being shady, but Kristen is one of her best friends. So I get why our Kentucky Muffin is upset. AAAAAAAAAAAND Janet makes it about Janet. While B was on the phone, Jason overheard the joyous news. However, instead of being happy, Janet notes that she’s now annoyed that it’s an engagement party for Kristen, explaining that it’s the longest time they’ve left their son. WOMP WOMP.
Janet falsely believes she is taking the high road, but in reality, she has now made the entire engagement about how she and Kristen don’t get along instead of pretending to be happy for Kristen and dealing with the issue at a proper place and time. Like Jason said, he took off work to enjoy island life, but now Janet is making it a nightmare. But thank you, Jason, for at least standing up to your hangry wife by declaring that she should not make decisions for both of them. The episode ends on a high note, though, as Jesse bought 1,000 flowers to decorate the couple’s room. It’s really endearing how, the minute he found out, he immediately wanted to make the moment memorable for Kristen and Luke. Mazel!
The Valley airs Tuesdays at 8pm/EST on Bravo. It streams on Hayu in the UK and Ireland.
