Season 18 of Real Housewives of Orange County was tough for Shannon Beador. She was being sued by her ex-boyfriend, John Janssen, who went on to put a ring on co-star Alexis Bellino’s finger. Plus, she was dealing with the messy fallout from her DUI arrest.
In September 2023, Shannon was arrested for driving into a building and then leaving the scene of the accident. Police officers saw Shannon walking her dog, Archie, in the vicinity. She was determined to be under the influence and was ultimately arrested for hit and run and DUI. The aftermath of Shannon’s legal woes played out on RHOC.

Shannon was sentenced to three years of probation, had to complete a nine-month alcohol program, and was required to pay fines. Recently, Shannon was pulled over again, but this time for breaking a different law.
US Weekly obtained court papers showing that Shannon was pulled over on May 21, 2025. The police officer cited Shannon for “operating a handheld wireless telephone or electronic wireless communication device” while driving. She was pulled over in Orange County, California, and was eventually released.
Well, now the Love Hotel star has to pay a hefty $20 fine before July 11. That is the fine for a first-time offender. This is not a moving violation, and since it is her first ticket, it won’t add any points to her driving record.
Meanwhile, Shannon’s RHOC co-stars weren’t thrilled with Shannon’s decision not to go to rehab. This was a flash point between Shannon and Tamra Judge, prompting Tamra to call her “an alcoholic.”
However, Shannon did take some responsibility for her actions. “I made a horrible choice very late in my life, and I considered myself a better example than that,” Shannon previously admitted.
