Denise Richards Doesn’t ‘Fully Understand’ Aaron Phypers Filing for Divorce

If you’re feeling confused by the Aaron Phypers and Denise Richards divorce, you’re not alone. She’s just as confused, according to a new insider report. The divorce arrived right as Aaron’s financial issues began to come to the surface, and Denise supposedly feels “utterly betrayed’ by how things have played out.

Aaron filed for divorce earlier this week, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split. He’s demanding spousal support, and surely, it’s not a coincidence that he recently got sued by a debtor over a large, unpaid business loan.

According to an insider who spoke to The Sun, the news of the divorce hit Denise out of nowhere. He listed their date of separation as July 4. They were out together with friends just a few days prior.

“She never in a million years wanted to get another divorce, and she never in a million years thought he would do this to her,” the insider said.

Notably, Denise literally said this very same thing on their Bravo show, Denise Richards & Her Wild Things. After her messy divorce from Charlie Sheen, she swore divorce would never happen to her again, but Aaron had other plans.

The insider explained, “It’s a betrayal; he promised he would never do this. She made it crystal clear to him thousands of times that they could work through anything, no matter how big the problem, but divorce was never an option.”

“He agreed. Then did this. There’s more questions than answers right now,” the source continued.

In the divorce docs, Aaron said that their monthly expenses totaled $105,000. That includes over $15,000 each month on dining out and $20,000 on clothes. He wants spousal support to help keep up with the luxury lifestyle to which he’s grown accustomed. Meanwhile, a judge issued a $228,000 judgment against Aaron just two months ago over his unpaid debt. Something isn’t adding up there.

“Denise thinks it’s egregious he is seeking spousal support from her after she has been financially supporting him all these years,” the source continued. “She thought he was different, but turns out he’s what people warned her about.”

Denise Richards & Her Wild Things is streaming on Peacock and Hayu in the UK and Ireland.
