Denise Richards is allegedly trying to salvage her reality TV show amidst dismal numbers. Denise Richards & Her Wild Things premiered this year and was a cheeky look into Denise’s life with her family.
The show was teased late last year with the trailer dropping last February. And it was pretty fast from there. The show promised fun guest stars, like ex-husband Charlie Sheen and Erika Jayne. It also looked more closely at Denise’s relationship with her daughters.
Will Denise Richards and her Wild Things Season 2 happen?
On paper, it seemed like a winning formula. Everyone has always been interested in Denise’s personal life and her dynamic with Charlie, Aaron, and her kids. They were so open discussing everything from Denise’s divorce to her OnlyFans to her and Aaron’s hall passes (Brad Pitt for her – for Aaron, Denise thinks it’s Brooke Williamson).
So the numbers were a bit surprising for Denise, an insider said.
“Denise had very high hopes for this show,” the insider revealed to In Touch. “She genuinely thought people would tune in because there has always been so much interest in her private life. She really can’t understand why viewers haven’t flocked to the show. Denise thought it was going to be a slam dunk.”
However, since the premiere in March, the series has struggled with increasing viewership. It currently sits at eighth place on Bravo’s lineup, leaving fans (and Denise) wondering if a season two is forthcoming.
And if an uncertain show future isn’t bad enough, Denise is also allegedly besieged by mounting financial problems. This is not news. People have alleged that Denise joined OnlyFans due to money issues that have arisen after the courts ruled in favor of Charlie stopping child support payments.
Rumors also say money problems are the reason she did her show at all. The insider shared that Denise is worried because most reality TV shows don’t rake in the big bucks until the second or third season.
Many fans on Denise’s social media appear to be hoping for a second season but it looks like only time will tell if the show will push forward.
Denise Richards & Her Wild Things is streaming on Peacock and Hayu in the UK and Ireland.
