Hayu just dropped the trailer for The Real Housewives of London, but Andy Cohen hasn’t bothered to watch it. The head honcho of all things Housewives just reiterated on his radio show that he has absolutely nothing to do with the upcoming franchise. If it’s not on Bravo, then Andy isn’t involved. This also means fans in the United States are in for a rude awakening when the series premieres next month.
Real Housewives of London won’t be available in the US
During the Wednesday, July 16 episode of Sirius XM’s Andy Cohen Live, his producer asked him to weigh in on the trailer, which featured cameos from Bravo stars Dorinda Medley and Caroline Stanbury. That’s when Andy admitted that he hadn’t seen it, while distancing himself from the franchise altogether.
“I heard the trailer came out. I’m glad you brought that up because a couple of people mentioned it to me yesterday,” Andy began.
“I don’t have anything to do with this show. Bravo doesn’t have anything to do with this show. This is an overseas version of the Housewives,” he continued.
Of course, Andy helped create The Real Housewives and serves as an executive producer on all of the franchises that air on Bravo. RHOLDN is Hayu’s show. They’re licensing the Housewives name, just like the various Housewives series across Australia and Africa.
Andy continued, “We produce the American Housewives, and [Real Housewives of] Dubai, and of course, [Real Housewives] Ultimate Girls Trip. This was produced in the UK, and it’s for Hayu, which is one of our streamers, so I haven’t seen it. I don’t know anything about it.”
For those of us trying to follow along, this can be a little confusing. Hayu airs all of Bravo’s content outside of the United States. They’re a subsidiary of NBCUniversal. However, RHOLDN is a Hayu exclusive, which means Housewives fans in the United States won’t be able to tune in without a VPN.
“I don’t believe it’s going to be on Bravo or Peacock,” Andy added. “It has nothing to do with us.”
The Real Housewives of London premieres with Hayu on Monday, August 18.
