We’re all learning about the next generation on Next Gen NYC, and we’re not the only ones. Kandi Burruss is also getting a closer look at Riley Burruss’ lifestyle and she wasn’t pleased about the money her daughter was spending. So much so that she warned her she would cut her off. So did she?
Being on a reality TV show really allows people to see your life. And Riley Burruss has learned that on the show. From arguments to microaggressions to reuniting with old friends, she’s gone through it all. And viewers learned that Kandi is not too pleased with how her daughter has been spending and threatened to cut her off in one-year if she couldn’t figure out what to do in the future.
Riley Burruss is focused on getting her Master’s degree
When Riley and Kandi appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, the mom and daughter touched on Riley’s financial situation. An audience member decided to ask if Kandi made good on her promise and cut Riley off since the one year deadline was up.
“No, she didn’t,” Riley said with a smile. “Because I’m still going to get my Master’s (Degree).”
Riley elaborated on this statement, adding her mom, an alum of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, did not cut her off yet because she has made concrete steps about her future. She has decided to pursue further education in either law or business.
“So I’m still gonna go to school,” she explained. But Riley hasn’t decided yet where she will be going to school yet.
“We’ll see which school,” she added coyly. “I don’t like to tell everyone exactly what I’m doing, but I’m going to get my Master’s. I’m studying now to take the test in August.”
“Yeah, so y’all pray for my baby that she pass, and gets high scores on her test,” Kandi added. Looks like Kandi is willing to shell out for her daughter furthering her education despite calling out her “privilege” and wondering if she has too much money to burn during the last episode of Next Gen NYC.
