Welcome to the recap for The Valley Season 2 Episode 15. In the last episode, Janet and Jason got matching tattoos, which sparked even more talk about the infidelity rumors surrounding him. And Kirsten was still basking in the post-engagement glow. This week, Jesse and Michelle hit a breakthrough in their divorce. Kristen also comes to terms with her current fertility journey. And naturally, there is a major fight at the Zen party! So here’s exactly what happened in The Valley Season 2, Episode 15, “There’s No Zen in Resentment.”
Jax thinks he deserves alimony

Janet pops in on Lala (who still doesn’t need to be on this show) and brings Portos for the new mama. The girls are all gathering to shower Lala after Sosa’s arrival. The girls start brooding, but the conversation takes a turn with Brittany explaining it’s been “a disaster of disasters.” Even though Jax was setting her off, the mother of one kept her cool. We were all proud of Brittany for “ringing him a new one,” and she aired her grievances and told Jax she now expects him to pay for half of Cruz’s medical bills. Naturally, Jax freaked out. He noted in his outburst that he would be pursuing his soon-to-be ex-wife because she earns more money. Delusionally, he thinks he will win. I will say, Lala had a delicious zinger as she quipped, “Well, yeah, a cocaine addiction is expensive, so I suggest you give it up. It’s a luxury you can not afford anymore.”
Brittany is laying down the law and refusing to allow Cruz access to Jax’s condo. The situation is actually a bit dark and sad. B is not backing down, stating that until there are rules and drug tests in place, she won’t be allowing their son to visit.
Janet is showing her evil stepsister colors

Janet is still hung up on Kristen’s insults. She tells Lala that she was called a “whore, she threatened to beat me up. She called me a fan.” Personally, I still am not a fan of Janet, and she drove the point home as she said, “I’d love for her to hit me. I would love nothing more than jail to take you away from your engagement for the night and put it in a little plastic baggie while you sit in your cell for punching me in the face.” Ugh, Janet, get over it. Kristen isn’t going to hit you.
It’s obvious, Janet, aka “the fan,” is making moves to solidify her place as the evil queen in the group. It’s yucky and gross as we listened to Janet try to claim she tried her best to be friends with Kristen, all because she included her in group activities.
Live. Laugh. Love.

While Janet is diabolically planning the downfall of Kristen, her old buddy, Jax, is having a guys’ day. Almost immediately, Jax rehashes his conversation with Brittany for the guys. Jax seems confused as he explains that B has been texting him every day since the fight about the house. And while our OG bad boy might think it’s a ploy to wiggle back in, the reality is that Brittany just has questions about the house. Nothing more. Nothing less. The viewers learn a new term: “breadcrumbing.” Breadcrumbing is a dating term for sending someone sporadic, flirtatious messages or showing fleeting interest. What a joke.
Danny is not included in this moment of unity, and Jax makes his feelings known. He notes, “Well, I’m serving alcohol here, so I assume Danny isn’t allowed.” So what is his real problem with Danny? We quickly learned Jax thinks “he’s a little two-faced.” Jax claims Danny has called him at least “five times” drunk. I don’t know how much I believe this narrative, but Jax is undoubtedly going hard for the Bookos.
No more doormat here

Brittany is making it loud and clear; Cartwright family party of two. As the Zen party finally gets underway, the group appears to be in good spirits. But that quickly changes. Jax finally admits he is not “fully over” his life with Brittany. The man is pathetic as the conversation turns ugly. When talking about the divorce papers, he said, “I’m going to wait to the last day just because.”
It wouldn’t be season two of The Valley if Jax didn’t try one more time to go after Danny. In an attempt to pass the villain card, Jax once again tried to create the narrative that Danny is a bad drunk. Thankfully, Danny isn’t taking the bait, noting, “We all know Jax has bigger problems than’ anger.'” Instead, Danny flips the script, noting Jax sleeps with his staff, allegedly. But the evening ends with the “ring leader,” aka Janet, finally being called out as the perpetrator of the messy summer. If things couldn’t get worse, Zack freaks out on Brittany. The summer has officially devolved into chaos. Unzen Zen party for the win.
The Valley airs Tuesdays at 8 PM/EST on Bravo. It streams on Hayu in the UK and Ireland.
