Teddi Mellencamp Confident She Will Live Amid ‘50-50’ Cancer Prognosis

Teddi Mellencamp has turned a corner in her cancer battle. In spring 2025, she optimistically revealed that she was responding very well to immunotherapy. All the tumors in her brain and lungs either shrank or disappeared. It was very powerful news, that signaled Teddi got an upper hand on her stage 4 melanoma.

And while her war against cancer continues, Teddi won a major battle. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum was given a 50-50 chance to beat the disease for good. The accountability coach reacted to the news with the commendable bravery that she’s become known for.

Teddi Mellencamp gave an update on her cancer battle

Teddi shared the “highs and lows” of the news during the July 29 episode of The Jamie Kern Lima Show.

“I would say probably 50-50,” she said of the odds of beating the cancer.

“But I truly believe this when I say this, and it’s going to make me emotional, I truly believe that I’m going to live,” Teddi shared. “I think that I’m going to have some rough years. Truthfully, I think I’m going to have some lonely years because not many people know how to talk to somebody who has stage 4 cancer.”

There is one person that Teddi can always count on. And that is her estranged husband Edwin Arroyave. The former spouses even share the family home at times. Especially when the Two T’s In a Pod podcast co-host is feeling unwell after treatments.

“This week, I told him I’m really sick, and he’s staying downstairs in the bedroom at our house right now. We can live in the same house. We don’t argue,” she explained.

Teddi added, “Edwin will always be my friend.”
