Season 7 of The Real Housewives of Miami detailed the aftermath of Todd Nepola filing for divorce from Alexia Nepola. Alexia was blindsided by Todd’s decision, as he packed up and left without telling her. Worst of all, Alexia’s son, Frankie Rosello, was there while Todd evacuated their home. However, Todd and Alexia started dating again as Alexia waited for Todd to make a decision about their divorce.
Some of the RHOM cast were upset by Alexia’s decision to continue to see Todd. However, she made it clear that her two sons, Peter Rosello and Frankie, were her main priorities.
Alexia Nepola needs “everybody’s help”
As you may recall, in 2011, Frankie was in a terrible car accident. He was in a coma and sustained permanent brain damage from the tragic accident. “It’s only my wish that he can continue to improve in time, and he can be as ‘normal and productive’ as his limitations allow,” Alexia previously stated.
During a recent RHOM episode, Alexia revealed that Frankie had another health scare. He was vomiting “profusely” and was taken to the emergency room. Frankie ended up staying in the hospital for three days, and it was an emotional time for both Alexia and Peter.
When Peter stopped by Alexia and Frankie’s rental, located on Miami’s Venetian Islands, Alexia gave him an update on Frankie. He was diagnosed with diverticulitis. According to the Mayo Clinic, diverticulitis is an “inflammation of irregular bulging pouches in the wall of the large intestine.” Thankfully, it is treatable.
“Basically, you have to control it with a diet. I need everybody’s help,” Alexia told Peter. “There’s certain things that trigger it, certain foods.”
Meanwhile, after Alexia and Todd’s divorce was finalized, they continued to see each other. However, now Alexia is no longer speaking with Todd and seems ready to move on.
