Martina and Julia adopted two young boys, and that storyline is playing out in Season 7 of RHOM. So, after 10 years of wedded bliss and 17 years together, Julia shared their relationship secrets.
“You have to care for each other. You have to be kind,” Julia told The Daily Dish. “And you always have to keep the romance going and try to never bring your work at home because that’s one of the killers of the relationship.” According to Julia, prioritizing the other person is important. “Dinner time is a dinner time. No phones, no Twitter, no nothing,” Julia said. “Just be together and find time to have quality time.”
Still, Martina’s controversial comments are affecting Julia. During a recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live, host Andy Cohen questioned her about her wife’s remarks. Of course, Andy has two children via surrogate, so this moment seemed awkward. “Well, you know Martina and I share a bed, but we don’t share a brain. We don’t always agree on different views, but I believe in surrogacy,” Julia explained. “And it was kind of put out of context, and I completely disagree with her comments.”
