Honestly, we’ve all wondered how much money they make on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, but Teddi Mellencamp isn’t spilling the beans. Although she’s been off the show for years, she recently refused to answer questions about her Bravo salary during her time on RHOBH. According to her, that topic will always be off limits.
Teddi Mellencamp can’t reveal her RHOBH salary
Teddi recently appeared on the Jamie Kern Lima Show, where she chatted through a variety of topics, including her cancer diagnosis and the guilt she felt about her affair with her horse trainer. In the last edition of the three-part interview, they talked about RHOBH and how some women change when they reach veteran status.
“I think people get to the point where if they’re in the show, they’re wanting the show to be good, but it also could go the other way, [like] ‘I’ve been on long enough. I shouldn’t have to do this anymore,’” Teddi explained. “It’s really based on the person.”
That teed up a question about Real Housewives’ salaries, but Teddi wasn’t ready to divulge. She said she “wasn’t allowed to say” how much money they rake in.
“The longer that you’re on The Housewives, the more money you’re going to make,” she teased. “You know that there’s a standard. You hit five years, you hit six years, you hit whatever it may be. I think there’s that aspect to it, too.”
The host kept prying for more details. Does everyone make the same amount of money? Teddi didn’t want to answer, but she did say that all Housewives have the same starting salary.
Teddi concluded, “I can say that all first-season Housewives are paid the same,” she added. “The people that say, ‘Oh, I got offered $10 million to be on season 1 of the Real Housewives.’ I’m like, ‘No, you didn’t. You didn’t. No one did.’ Season 1 Housewives, we were all paid the same.”
The bottom line is that Teddi isn’t going to be giving out any of the details about her RHOBH salary, or anyone else’s, for that matter. This is the one thing in the world of Real Housewives that will remain a secret.
