Real Housewives of Salt Lake City stars Meredith Marks and Lisa Barlow are living their best lives. Who would have thought that the two would end up side hustling as a singer and a DJ? Well, that’s exactly what they are doing. RHOSLC’s Lisa and Meredith recently headlined a DIRECTV party and put on a big show. Lisa Barlow is serving vocals as Meredith Marks bops behind the decks
Meredith is a businesswoman through and through. And we know this because she’s always wearing a blazer. Also because she runs a fashion, jewelry, and caviar empire. While her son, Brooks Marks, is serving as creative director for her company, Meredith must have found some free time to embrace a new side career: being a DJ.
She not only performed at the DIRECTV party, but Meredith also showed off her DJ skills at WeHo Pride’s Outloud Music Festival. That was no small feat, as she was DJing alongside fellow performers Lizzo, Kim Petras, and Lil Nas X.
While it seems a bit out of left field that Meredith is now a DJ, Lisa’s transition to a singer has made a bit more sense. And we can thank Heather Gay for that.
In Season 3 of RHOSLC, Heather had auditions for her choir, and Lisa showed up, giving us an iconic moment singing “Away in a Manger.” Who knew the Vida Tequila owner had a set of pipes?
Lisa’s also taking this singing side hustle seriously and is in vocal lessons. She shared, “I am in vocal lessons, and my nephew is actually in music, and I’ve been working with a couple of other people to do something cool, but I’m not doing anything until it’s completely ready. But my vocal coach said I’m getting really good. So I’m excited.”
It’s clear that Meredith and Lisa are not disengaging from their new careers anytime soon. I love that.
