The Real Housewives of New York is still trying to find its footing after Bravo hit reset and swapped in a brand-new cast two seasons ago. Producers are deep into casting again for Season 16 as they seek to inject some fresh energy.
Plenty of names have been tossed around. Most recently, Martha Stewart made headlines when chatter started about her possibly joining. However, her rep shot those rumors down.
Now, insiders say the person who’s actually caught Bravo’s attention is Martha’s longtime makeup artist, Daisy Toye.
Could Daisy Toye join the RHONY cast after Martha Stewart rumors?
According to Page Six, multiple sources claim that Daisy has been discussing the possibility with Bravo and is open to the idea. She has worked with Martha for more than 17 years, often five days a week, which already has fans wondering if Martha might occasionally pop up on the show.
Bravo hasn’t commented about Daisy, and Martha’s longtime rep already shot down the talk of her holding an apple herself. “Not Martha. She says she is not a ‘Housewife.’”
Daisy shared how her career with Martha started by chance. “One day [Martha’s editor-in-chief] called me and was like ‘Daisy, Martha’s makeup artist is not available, can you come and do this photo shoot?’ I bought all new brushes and makeup.”
Daisy isn’t the only one in the mix. Summer House’s Lindsay Hubbard was once considered and alum Paige DeSorbo keeps coming up.
Even though Andy Cohen has said that RHONY casting has been “heavily underway,” the only certainty is that the final cast remains a mystery.
