After the Jason Hoppy of it all, Bethenny Frankel spent her time on Real Housewives of New York promoting Skinnygirl and making snarky comments about the other women’s personal lives.
We never saw Paul Bernon on Real Housewives of New York. Even if Bethenny does make a return, we will never see Paul since Bethenny has made her personal life off-limits oh and they broke up. It’s unclear why they broke up, but Bethenny recently opened up about the split on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
Even though the most recent Real Housewives of New York season just ended, they are already filming the next season, sans Dorinda Medley and Tinsley Mortimer.
Eboni K. Williams joined the cast, as the first Black cast member in the show’s history. Ramona Singer, Sonja Morgan, Luann de Lesseps, and Leah McSweeney are still on the cast.
Apparently, Tyra Banks didn’t want Real Housewives on Dancing With the Stars anymore. Reportedly, she “made it clear that she didn’t want any more ‘Housewives’ in her ballroom… Tyra has never been a fan of the ‘Housewives,’ but the real reason she doesn’t want them on her show is that Bethenny Frankel, NeNe Leakes and Teresa Giudice do not make headlines anymore.”
Considering that this website has many headlines about Bethenny, NeNe, and Teresa, we know that’s not the case. Well, Bethenny caught wind of these reported comments and clapped back on Twitter.
Bravo is trying really hard to make Kate Chastain a thing in her post-Below Deck life. First, Andy Cohen gave Kate a short-lived radio show. Now, she’s hosting a talk show with Porsha Williams, Gizelle Bryant, and Hannah Berner. She also appears on special editions of Below Deck Med episodes, which are just the previous week’s episode with additional commentary from Kate.
However, she’s actually interested in joining another Bravo TV show.
For the most part, pretty much nothing happened during the most recent season of Real Housewives of New York. Dorinda Medley belittled Tinsley Mortimer until Tinsley quit in the middle of the season. Leah McSweeney got wasted and threw tiki torches, raviolis, and whatever else she could pick up (and toss) for attention. She’s currently sober, so, it’s fair to assume that she will not be throwing objects next season.
But, what were the actual storylines? Yes, these women are so funny, but there was really nothing happening. No wonder they decided to shake up the cast. Elyse Slaine will not be back to continue her feud with Ramona Singer. Dorinda got fired after a season with very few redeeming moments. Eboni K. Williams was hired as the first Black cast member in Real Housewives of New York history. And, now it seems like Heather “Holla” Thomson might be back. Or at the very least it seems like she filmed a lunch scene with Luann de Lesseps and Ramona.
So many longtime Real Housewives cast members exited the franchise in the past year. Bethenny Frankel split the night before the last season was supposed to start filming. Denise Richards couldn’t come to a deal after her drama-filled sophomore season. Teddi Mellencamp admitted she got fired.
Vicki Gunvalson and Tamra Judge cannot let it go when it comes to their firings. NeNe Leakes is undoubtedly in the midst of the most petty and bitter Real Housewives exit ever, slamming Andy Cohen constantly and accusing him of racism among other things.
Tinsley Mortimer’s final season on Real Housewives of New York was a doozy. During Season 12, Tinsley was the object of Dorinda Medley’s unprovoked rage. Dorinda accused Tinsley of secretly carrying on a relationship with off-and-on boyfriend Scott Kluth. Dorinda also attacked Tinsley for not being authentic on RHONY. OK, Dorinda.
Mid-way through the season, Tinsley announced that she was ditching the show and heading off to Chicago to be with her boo. I can’t say that I blame her when her mere presence incited such anger from Dorinda.
Leah McSweeney sailed through her first season on Real Housewives of New York. Yes, she was inebriated a good deal of the time, but if you wanted to find Sonja Morgan, you needed to look under a table. That said, Leah decided to embrace sobriety once again and remain somewhat conscious in an effort to dodge thinly-veiled digs from Ramona Singer.
Looks like that clarity has provided Leah with some dance skills and maybe some thinly-veiled digs of her own. Bethenney Frankel made news recently, with some disparaging remarks regarding a Cardi B song. Beth felt some type of way about the explicit lyrics of “WAP” and proceeded to get owned by half of social media. Now Leah shares her opinion of the song that forces Bethenney to her fainting couch. Leah also shares some moves you would have never seen on Dance Fever.
