Season 34 of Dancing with the Stars will be starting soon, so speculation about who will be in the ballroom is ramping up. We know that conservationist Robert Irwin and influencer Alix Earle will be competing. And two stars from The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, Jen Affleck and Whitney Leavitt, will also show off their moves. However, DWTS pro Lindsay Arnold is sitting out this season.
Lindsay left the show ahead of Season 31 after competing on the series for 10 years. Lindsay decided to prioritize time with her husband and growing family. And the dancer has again decided to skip Season 34.
Lindsay Arnold won’t be a pro on DWTS Season 34
Lindsay addressed her possible participation in Season 34 via a TikTok. “The answer is no, I will not be doing Dancing with the Stars this next season,” Lindsay said as she applied her makeup. “My reasons for not doing the show feel even more relevant than they did in the past.” Lindsay is married to Samuel Cusick, and they share two daughters, Sage and June.
She continued, “It’s currently just better for me to be home with my family. My girls have so many things going on this fall, and it’s so exciting.” Lindsay added, “I just know that I’m exactly where I need to be and where I should be.”
However, Lindsay also revealed that she has not been contacted by DWTS producers since she exited the show. “First of all, I am not being asked to come back. The producers are not reaching out to me, and I’m turning them down, saying, ‘No, I don’t want to do it,’” Lindsay explained. “Like, none of that has happened.” However, she is pumped to watch the upcoming season.
Meanwhile, a new pro, Jan Ravnik, is joining the ranks for Season 34. Jan was one of Taylor Swift’s backup dancers for her The Eras Tour.
Dancing with the Stars Season 34 will premiere on Tuesday, September 16, at 8 p.m. on ABC and Disney+. It will stream on Hulu the next day.
