Season 19 of The Real Housewives of Orange County has been filled with drama. And at the center of it? Katie Ginella, who probably didn’t expect her sophomore season to be so difficult. Still, Katie is in the thick of it and on the outs with all of her RHOC co-stars.
After Katie failed a polygraph test arranged by Emily Simpson, her protests fell on deaf ears. Meanwhile, Gretchen Rossi lied about going to the hospital after the “naked wasted” party, and still somehow passed. In fact, Katie was reportedly put on a pause mid-season due to all the drama with her co-stars.
Don’t count Katie Ginella out just yet
In fact, Katie was ill before taking the test, and was also anxious because she forgot to take her anti-anxiety medication. So, how does Katie feel about coming back next season?
“I think that I would love for people to actually get to know me. For me to have that moment where I get to have real conversations with these women,” Katie told E! News, “and possibly build real friendships and not these weird surface ones.”
She continued, “I think maybe there’s a possibility of a fresh start after the reunion. That’s what everybody hopes, right? This show is about conflict resolution, and I think I’m owed some apologies.” Katie added, “I’ve given enough out.”
Still, Katie misses her tight bond with Jennifer Pedranti. Their friendship fell apart after Katie tried to convince Jenn that the lie detector testing was a setup. “We were very close,” Katie explained. “Even off camera, out of production, we talked every day, our kids hang out … did double dates with our spouses.”
Right now, many RHOC fans feel like Katie was ganged up on by the RHOC ladies. If Katie can keep some fans in her corner, she could make a Season 20 comeback.
