Season 19 of The Real Housewives of Orange County has been a nightmare for Katie Ginella. She is feuding with all of her RHOC co-stars. Add in her protective husband, Matt Ginella, and you have some fireworks. Finally, Matt called out Slade Smiley, who is engaged to Gretchen Rossi.
According to Katie, Gretchen told her that she went to the hospital the day after Tamra Judge’s “naked wasted” party. Katie said that Gretchen claimed that she was drugged at Tamra’s Season 4 party. Meanwhile, Gretchen denied making these statements or going to the hospital. Oh, the lies! The lies!
Katie Ginella’s husband Matt is pulling no punches against RHOC co-star Slade Smiley
Katie’s husband, Matt, alleged that Slade called him, urging him to convince Katie to back her comments. Recently, Matt went off on Slade during an appearance on the Don’t Let it Stu podcast.
“I don’t think people are totally understanding or even putting value on Slade’s role in all of this. I have been with Slade, I don’t know, let’s say it’s three times,” Matt explained. “All three times, I have heard the story about how he started Housewives, behind the gates, original cast, very involved in production.”
He continued, “The idea that I’m in some sort of character war with a guy who was arrested for being a deadbeat dad …. I didn’t have this on my bingo card, but here we are.” Matt added, “Slade is accusing me of lying.”
Next, Matt detailed how he got an urgent call from Slade. “These are his exact words: ‘Katie might have just sealed her own fate … She told Kiki Monique what we told you guys [about the allegations against Tamra], and now it’s getting back out to the group.'” Then, Matt stated that Slade advised him to have Katie “hold the line and say it wasn’t said.”
Welp, the rest of Season 19 is going to be interesting!
