It’s been one week since they opened the doors of the jailhouse and set Karen Huger free. She spent six months behind bars after a DUI charge, and she’s reintegrating herself into society. That includes chatting with her Real Housewives of Potomac boss, Andy Cohen.
Andy recently revealed that he’s been in touch with the artist formerly known as the Grand Dame, and he has hopes that she’ll be back on our TV screens soon.
Andy Cohen hopes Karen Huger will return to RHOP
TMZ caught up with Andy to get the tea on his viral SiriusXM prank, where he pretended to take over Howard Stern’s time slot. During the conversation, the paparazzi took a moment to ask about Karen’s return to civilization.
“We have texted, and I will be speaking with her imminently,” Andy teased.
The last time a Housewife got arrested, Andy went to their home and held a sit-down interview to reflect on what happened. So, perhaps Andy is getting ready to head to Surrey County to get the full debrief on Karen’s time in jail. We’re not sure.
In the meantime, Andy hinted that the jail time didn’t hurt Karen’s chances at a RHOP comeback. When asked if she’d be returning to the show, he seemed optimistic.
“I hope so,” Andy said.
When Karen left the jail, insiders on the scene told us that a camera crew went into the facility. Plus, eagle-eyed fans spotted cameras inside the black SUV that picked her up, suggesting that her first moments of freedom were filmed for RHOP.
With all of this in mind, it definitely sounds like Karen’s champagne flute is still waiting for her on RHOP. They might just have to fill hers up with apple juice this time.
