Another L for Simon Guobadia. The ex-husband of Real Housewives of Atlanta star Porsha Williams has been fighting for an appeal in their divorce. He felt like Porsha misrepresented her financial situation when they wrote their prenup. He’s desperate to keep their prenup from being enforced, but a judge just denied his claim.
Simon Guobadia’s divorce appeal against Porsha Williams was denied
Porsha and Simon finalized their divorce in June 2025. Since then, Simon and his lawyers have been working around the clock to fight for the nullification of their penup. You can’t blame him for trying. The prenup awarded Porsha $40,000 per month in spousal support for the next 14 months. She also won the marital home, a Rolls-Royce, legal fees, and a lump sum payment.
In Simon’s appeal, and throughout the initial divorce proceedings, Simon said that at the time of signing the prenup, Porsha suggested she’d live a life as a stay-at-home mom. However, she wound up signing back on as a full-time cast member of Real Housewives of Atlanta, in addition to inking a lucrative scripted talent deal with NBC.
According to legal docs reviewed by People, the Court of Appeals of the State of Georgia denied Simon’s appeal on Tuesday, September 9. However, he told the outlet that he isn’t letting this setback stop him. He feels like there’s still a chance to fight the prenup and come out on top.
“We intend to continue pursuing this appeal, as we have not yet exhausted all legal remedies,” he said in a statement. “I anticipate a resolution within approximately 12–24 months, depending on how far the opposition chooses to take the matter.”
“In addition, I have a federal defamation case that has yet to be heard, and we are now preparing for the discovery phase at the pace set by the federal court,” he continued, referencing Porsha’s Instagram posts about erectile dysfunction.
Simon told the outlet that he felt “confident” he would prevail in his legal pursuits against his ex-wife. Meanwhile, Porsha is still running a victory lap. After the latest court ruling, she posted on Instagram, “It’s over!!!”
