Remember that nightmare charter guest, Kelly Furey, from Below Deck Season 12? Recently, her arch “Democrat” rival, Captain Kerry Titheradge, ran into this drunken, ousted vacationer. Their reunion was “scary,” he joked. But thankfully, it was also kind.
Kelly thanked Captain Kerry for keeping her safe on Below Deck
When Kelly’s drunkness turned into a safety liability during Season 12, Captain Kerry had no choice but to remove her from his yacht. But Kelly did not wish to go silently, which prompted a visit from the police. Choosing a hotel stay over a prison visit, Kelly eventually left on her own accord, but as she rode away, and even while standing on the dock, she yelled all kinds of words back at Captain Kerry, the “p*ussy.” It was a whole thing.
But after filming wrapped, Captain Kerry ran into Kelly. Despite all of the drama, these two are now in a solid place. As he explained, this chaotic charter “happened over a year ago. I believe in second chances and the possibility of growth.”
Following the finale of Below Deck Season 12, Captain Kerry appeared on Watch What Happens Live. While taking questions from the audience, one person asked him about this reunion. They also wondered whether or not Kelly had ever apologized for her antics during filming.
“Seeing Kelly again was extremely scary,” he admitted. However, Kelly eventually thanked him “for helping her out and keeping her safe,” he said. Overall, that sounds as good an apology as can be, considering her circumstances and likely massive showings of embarrassment.
Does this mean that Kelly might attempt another vacation on his yacht? Only time will tell.
