By now, you’ve probably seen that clip of Andy Cohen saying that he “never” wants to see Jen Shah from The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. Well, context is everything, and the man himself just weighed in. He clarified that the video isn’t recent, and he certainly didn’t expect it to circulate around social media.
Andy Cohen said the Jen Shah comment was perhaps “a year old”
Before tapings of Watch What Happens Live, Andy will host a quick Q&A session with the audience members. Phones are supposed to be put away during this time. However, during a recent episode of SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live, he explained that someone must have broken that rule, which resulted in the clip of him talking about Jen.
“That video leaked from my Q&A the other day, that Jen Shah video,” Andy began. “Someone asked, ‘Will we be seeing Jen Shah on Salt Lake City?’”
Andy continued, “I don’t even know when it was from. It looked like it was a year old or something like that, and you know what? I get really mouthy sometimes during those Q&As, and they’re not supposed to be videoing, and sometimes I just say way too much.”
After years of on-air experience, Andy knows that there’s “no putting the words back” after they come out of his mouth. Fortunately, it doesn’t seem like Jen felt phased by his comments. After the video went viral, her “management” sent a message from the Bryan Federal Prison Camp.
“A respectful conversation has already been had with Bravo behind the scenes, and there are no hard feelings,” Jen’s team shared via Instagram.
