Season 6 of Real Housewives of Salt Lake City is already delivering plenty of drama. Much of the focus has been on Lisa Barlow and her multiple lawsuits. So, Baby Gorgeous decided to end her RHOSLC co-stars’ speculation once and for all. She prepared a presentation about her lawsuits, and her bestie, Meredith Marks, had her back.
However, when the topic of Lisa and her lawsuits came up during the group’s RV excursion, Meredith didn’t have much to say. But she did urge the group to “deal with it with Lisa” and not discuss it “behind her back.”
Meredith Marks says Lisa Barlow “borrowing money” is “not an abnormal thing”
During Season 6 Episode 3 of RHOSLC, Lisa brought in some posterboards to explain how her lawsuits were dismissed. However, none of her six lawyers attended the lunch. Meredith, who has a law degree, explained the messy situation. She told The Daily Dish that “allegations are not facts,” and Lisa is not facing any “criminal charges.”
She added, “I mean, look, we’re talking about a civil lawsuit, and anybody can file that. So, it doesn’t really carry very much weight, in my view.” Since one of the lawsuits concerns a loan, Meredith addressed that issue. “Borrowing money is part of doing business. It’s not an abnormal thing,” she explained. “Clearly, there was a disagreement over it. And, you know, people can file whatever they want to file.” However, Meredith does not know the current status of the lawsuits against Lisa.
At the “clarity” lunch, Meredith took Lisa’s side against Whitney Rose. She told Whitney that there were also “a lot of accusations” about her. “Now you pipe in?” Whitney responded. “You were silent camping.”
While Meredith did speak up, it wasn’t a vigorous defense. She reassured Lisa that the ladies were just trying to create drama. “I believe you,” Lisa stated.
