Another day, another social media battle between Real Housewives of Atlanta star Porsha Williams and her ex-husband, Simon Guobadia. The two settled their divorce earlier this summer, but the drama hasn’t stopped. He’s trying to appeal the divorce, she’s trying to force him to pay up the money he owes, and now, she’s rubbing her United States citizenship in his face. It’s the messy breakup that just won’t end.
Porsha Williams called ex-husband Simon Guobadia “Silly Simone”
In an October 1 Instagram Story, Porsha shared a screenshot of a TMZ article detailing how Simon went to a Nigerian court and asked them to revoke his sponsorship of her residency in the country. Clearly, Porsha isn’t bothered by it.
“I’m an American silly Simone,” Porsha wrote, along with six American flag emojis. “I can go where I want ? HBU ?”
As a reminder, earlier this year, the United States deported Simon back to his home country of Nigeria. ICE apprehended him at an airport, and he spent weeks behind bars in a detention center. It marked the end of a decades-long immigration battle, and it all happened while he and Porsha were in the thick of their divorce proceedings.
Simon’s case isn’t unique, and with the amount of anti-immigrant sentiment coming from the United States federal government, we have to admit that Porsha’s comments do come across as a little tone deaf. Just a little!
We’ll give her a pass, considering how much energy she’s invested in this man and how much time he has spent antagonizing her both online and in the courts. At this point, they’ve spent more time broken up and fighting in court than they spent married. Of course, she’s bitter.
