Real Housewives of Potomac Season 10 kicked off with a great premiere! There was a lot to catch up on after the way RHOP Season 9 ended. Like the reunion’s shocking allegation that Stacey Rusch paid TJ Jones to pretend to be her love interest. And Karen Huger’s jail sentence. Plus, after Mia Thornton’s exit, the door was open for two new Real Housewives of Potomac newcomers. While we’re excited to see what the rest of the season brings, here are the biggest moments and revelations from the premiere.

The RHOP Season 10 premiere wasted no time catching viewers up on the cast members’ lives. Like Heather Gay, Gizelle Bryant is an empty nester and loving it. Ashley Darby, who is finally officially divorced, decides to throw a “second bloom” party. Wendy Osefo is thriving as Eddie Osefo’s cannabis brand continues to expand. The premiere also set up a feud between her and Keiarna Stewart. As well as Keiarna’s friend Angel Massie, a newcomer to the cast. And speaking of feuds, Ashley versus Stacey took center stage, with many questions about Stacey’s relationships and her apparently bad breath. In packed and oversized episode, here were the standout moments.

Cameras follow Karen Huger as she’s released from prison

RHOP wasted no time getting Karen to film again, literally following her as she’s released from prison on September 5. From there, we flashback to the ladies’ reactions when she first entered prison. Gizelle is sad for Karen, but also doesn’t hesitate to throw hilarious shade. Gizelle and Karen continue to be Bravo’s best frenemies. Ashley also got a good dig in about Karen being in the AARP section of prison. Keiarna, Wendy, and Stacey came over to Gizelle’s place to unpack Karen’s sentence. But the topic of conversation quickly switched.

Stacey didn’t appreciate being confronted over TJ’s reunion accusations. The television host maintained she was telling the truth. She even claimed TJ apologized to her privately and wanted to clear the air on the show. When the others didn’t let it go, she walked off.

Once she was gone, Ashley and Gizelle filled in Keiarna and Wendy on the latest tea. At an event, the RHOP OGs were seated next to a unnamed actress who is apparently TJ’s actual best friend. She showed them screenshots of documents that indicate TJ is suing Stacey for his cut of her RHOP salary. Allegedly, she promised him half her earnings from the show, which seems way too high.

Ashley brings this up to Stacey later, and Stacey dismisses the actress as an “imaginary friend.” That’s when Ashley drops a name, but it’s censored. I’m sure RHOP fans are trying to suss out the actress’ identity as we speak.

Stacey introduces her new man … her ex-husband

Stacey is ready to move on from the TJ drama, and has already moved on from the man himself. Despite their divorce being finalized (so they claim), Stacey is dating her ex-husband again. It’s quite a change to see him join this show after his face was blurred out of pictures last season. He also sends her evites to go on dates, which Stacey loves, because of course she would.

However, Stacey doesn’t tell any of the other ladies about her rekindled romance. Even when Ashley repeatedly accuses her of not really being divorced. Stacey wonders why Ashley is searching for her divorce documents instead of for a vocal coach. Ouch! I’m mostly curious how her apparent interest in Chris Samuels fits into all of this.

With Karen in prison and Mia off the show, RHOP introduced two new Housewives to round out the cast. First is Angel Massie, a longtime friend of Keiarna. She also has history with Wendy from way back to their time at Temple University. But when Wendy greets Angel at Ashley’s party, the doctor pulls a “I don’t know her.”

Gizelle brings along her friend Tia Glover to the party. Kia is British and from Nigerian royalty, but promises she’s not always so prim and proper.

The big event of the RHOP Season 10 premiere is Ashley’s party to celebrate her divorce. The other ladies are all confused by the second bloom theme. Ashley’s big entrance doesn’t go as expected either. She stops midway on the staircase out of fear the sparklers might be a fire hazard. Then walks very slowly and awkwardly down the stairs to avoid tripping on her gown. Oh Ashley, never change.

But the party’s main event is yet another explosive fight with Stacey (who gives herself a pat on the back for being the bigger person by going at all). When Ashley makes a joke about her bad breath, Stacey breathes directly on everyone. This show is a comedy. Ultimately, the premiere ends with Stacey calling Ashley an “imp” and “the devil” before her third dramatic storm off of the episode. And with that, it looks like we’re in for a great RHOP Season 10.

Real Housewives of Potomac is available to stream on Peacock and Hayu in the UK and Ireland.
