Before Aesha Scott returned to her original Bravo port, Below Deck Mediterranean, she worked under Captain Jason Chambers on Below Deck Down Under. Their bond on BDDU was clear. From putting in his contact lenses to random workplace-related roasts, these two made an iconic pairing. Fans became so invested in this duo that they often commented, saying they would love to see these two stars sailing off into the sunset together. However, their relationship was never like that, Aesha recently explained.
Aesha Scott sets the record straight on Captain Jason
Following a recent episode of Below Deck Med Season 10, Aesha appeared on Watch What Happens Live. Newly engaged, Aesha is currently awaiting her wedding next year. Many Bravo stars will be in attendance. But not Captain Jason, Aesha explained, since she had to cap their guest list at “130 people.”
“Does Jason know?” Andy Cohen asked. Laughing, Aesha said yes. But then she explained that, sometimes, fans made her friendship with her former boss all kinds of weird. Instead of wishing her well with her fiancé, these viewers would note how they secretly wanted her with Jason.
“I also don’t think it’s respectful [to invite Jason] because so many people would come up to me and be like, ‘Oh, we like Scott [Dobson], but I really wish you were with Jason,'” she said. “Which, you know, yeah.” Regarding any rumors that they were ever secretly an item, Aesha says that is “absolutely not the case.”
Overall, “Jason’s great, you know, we get on really well, and we were close for a time when we worked on the show together. But he’s not someone that’s in like, my inner circle,” Aesha concluded.
