Season 34 of Dancing with the Stars once again blessed viewers with Disney Night. The fan-favorite theme will celebrate the 70th anniversary of Disneyland. The DWTS couples danced to songs plucked from Disney’s extensive catalogue. Thankfully, our competitors delivered some ballroom magic for viewers.
Last time, in a shocking elimination, Fifth Harmony member Lauren Jauregui and her partner, Brandon Armstrong, were eliminated. Meanwhile, comedian Andy Richter and Emma Slater were safe. I think that the judges underscored Lauren’s cha-cha, which left her in a tie with Andy at the bottom of the leaderboard. It is a reminder that without the Judges’ Save this season, anything can happen. Fans need to vote for their favorites so that they can continue to salsa for Mirrorball glory.
What happened in Dancing with the Stars Season 34 Episode 4?
With 11 celebrities still competing for the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy, viewers watched some wonderful Disney-themed routines. Dance styles for the celebration included the Viennese Waltz, quickstep, salsa, and jazz, showcasing a little something for everyone.
First, the opening number, danced to Be Our Guest from Beauty and the Beast, showcased Danny Gardner, who performs as the scene-stealing Lumiere in the North American Tour of the musical. And the fantastic routine was choreographed by Mandy Moore.
Instead of training footage, for the most part, viewers got to see the dancing duos at Disneyland, going on rides, and hanging out. I liked this change of pace from rehearsal packages. With every couple fighting to stay in the ballroom and better their scores, the level of competition is really a delightful surprise.
Who was eliminated in Dancing with the Stars Season 34 Episode 4?

Hilaria Baldwin and Gleb Savchenko were eliminated in Dancing with the Stars Season 34 Episode 4!
Hilaria Baldwin and Gleb Savchenko were in the bottom three with Andy and his partner, Emma, and Danielle Fishel and Pasha Pashkov. The couple performed a smooth quickstep to the song Cantina Band from Star Wars: A New Hope. For the most part, the duo received positive comments from the judges. “Tonight, what I saw was you just dancing, fully in love with what you were doing. Not trying to prove anything, and it was beautiful,” judge Carrie Ann Inaba said.
Meanwhile, Bruno Tonioli commented, “I was looking for something wrong. I didn’t see it.” However, Derek Hough wanted to see more quickstep in the choreography. Gleb and Hilaria scored 23 out of 30, which left them in a tie for fifth place.
After the elimination results were announced, Hilaria said, “I mean, this has been an incredible experience. I’m so grateful to all of you. And I’m grateful to my children and my family.” Then Gleb said a few words about his partner. “I am so proud of you. You were a superhero in the dance studio.” He added, “You put so much love and passion to dance, and you’re truly inspirational. I’m so happy that I had the chance to dance with you.”
Who got the top score of the night in Dancing with the Stars Season 34 Episode 4?
Whitney Leavitt and Mark Ballas had the highest score in Dancing with the Stars Season 34 Episode 4.
The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Whitney Leavitt and her partner, Mark Ballas, have topped the leaderboard every week since Season 34 premiered. Their jazz-infused, Broadway-flavored foxtrot to The Room Where It Happens from Hamilton ignited the ballroom.
It was fresh, fun, and creative. “Look, there’s traditional foxtrot, and then there’s Mark’s foxtrot. Insane!” Carrie Ann raved, while Derek stated, “Get these two on Broadway, stat! That was sensational!”
The pair earned the first 9 of the season and scored 25 out of 30 points. Every week, Whitney has turned in polished, entertaining performances with great technique. As it stands right now, it looks like this MomTok queen is the frontrunner to win the Mirrorball.

- Whitney and Mark (Foxtrot) – 25 points

- Elaine and Alan (Quickstep) – 24 points
- Jordan and Ezra (Quickstep) – 24 points

Actress Elaine Hendrix and Alan Bersten crushed their Space Mountain-themed quickstep. It was an energetic, entertaining, out-of-this-world performance. “You better represent, my sister! That was amazing!” Carrie Ann said. Elaine and Alan’s dance was one of my favorites of the night.
Plus, The Traitors winner Dylan Efron’s flirty quickstep with Daniella Karagach also caught the judges’ attention. “Putting the pedal to the metal, hitting the highway to the final,” Bruno said of their dance to Life Is a Highway from Cars.
Influencer Alix Earle and Val Chmerkovsky’s dark and tantalizing Viennese Waltz also impressed the judges. “That was mesmerizing. It was magical. It was spellbinding,” Derek said, adding it was the couple’s “best dance.” Alix just gave notice that she is coming to claim the Mirrorball.
Final thoughts on Dancing with the Stars Season 34 Episode 4

I must confess that conservationist Robert Irwin and his partner, Witney Carson, are making me anxious. The last two weeks, the duo has fallen from the top of the leaderboard. However, there is still time for the couple to get back on track.
The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Jen Affleck and Jan Ravnik served up a sparkling and exciting jazz routine set to the song Friend Like Me from Aladdin. Jen demonstrated great performance quality, and the duo incorporated acrobatic tricks into their routine. I loved this number. I also enjoyed Danielle and Pasha’s quickstep. Danielle lit up the ballroom with her charm and personality. Unfortunately, her timing was off during one section of the routine.
Overall, Disney Night didn’t disappoint. Next week is Dedication Night, so Kleenex is mandatory!
Dancing with the Stars airs on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on ABC and Disney+. It will stream on Hulu the next day.
