Stacey Rusch needs allies on The Real Housewives of Potomac Season 10. After a disastrous Season 9 reunion, which saw the former QVC host doubling-down on her version of events regarding TJ Jones, the other RHOP ladies do not trust her.
And Ashley Darby is certainly outspoken about it. To her credit, she is being up front with her concern, and bringing them straight to the source. Stacey continues to deny hiring TJ to act as a love interest. There are also questions about the validity of the newbie’s divorce proceedings from Thiemo Rusch.
RHOP fans will have to wait for resolution, it seems. Ashley’s feeling some kinda way.
Ashley Darby promises a “roller-coaster ride” with Stacey Rusch during RHOP Season 10
Ashley explained to Us Weekly that she believes Stacey presents a façade on camera. And the GnA athletic wear co-founder is trying to get to the root of who she really is. It’s proving a frustrating endeavor, as seen on the latest episode.
“The hardest part I have about Stacey is I see her and I take her for what she presents to me, because she comes across as very genuine. I think it’s that Midwest in her. She’s from Detroit,” Ashley said. “She has that sort of charm that I think, ‘Oh, she’s obviously going to be honest and genuine with me.’”
She continued, “Then when there are moments that contradict that, I’m like, ‘Wow! I feel like she’s tricking me. I feel like I’m falling for something with her.’ That is why I get really upset, because I come in and I try to be as honest with her as possible, and I just want it reciprocated back to me. It just feels like she’s trying to trick me.”
Ashley does tease that the dynamic shifts a lot within the group as a whole, as a continuous “ebbing and flowing.” However, with Stacey it’s more of “a roller-coaster ride.”
The mother-of-two said, “The dynamic shifted quite a bit, mainly because of incidents that happened or things in our own personal lives.”
As any strategic housewife would say, the door is always open for reconciliation. Ashley concluded, “I never give up on anybody. I really don’t. I will always have space for Stacey. It’s just a matter of her meeting me halfway.”
