Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Lisa Barlow has revealed there’s more to her marriage than meets the eye. During Season 6, Episode 5, Whitney Rose hired a psychic to give readings to each of the ladies in the group. While Lisa spent most of her time having it out with Angie Kastanevas, she did take a breather to talk with the psychic. And this conversation revealed there was trouble in paradise between Lisa and her husband, John Barlow.
Lisa and John Barlow are on “different planets”
One of the main complaints the group has with Lisa is the fact that she doesn’t open up to them. When she skipped out on the cast trip, they predicted there was something going on. It wasn’t just her making time to hang with Ben Affleck or Blake Lively instead.
And it doesn’t seem like the group’s intuition was wrong. During Season 6, Episode 5, Lisa finally opened up about her marriage and the struggles she was having feeling alone.
After having an all-out brawl with Angie, Heather Gay pulled Lisa aside to talk with the psychic, Terence. And he had Lisa’s number right away. He brought up John and asked, “Why do you feel like you’re just rebuilding trust?” A tearful Lisa responded, “I don’t know.”
He said, “It’s like an elastic band. You guys keep snapping back together. You need to figure out how to communicate to each other again. I also look at this and go, because it feels like you have different paths.”
Terence added, “And I feel like you don’t know how to find your way back to his path. There’s a lot of angst, or frustration, there.”
In her confessional, Lisa said, “Marriage is hard … Lately I think that with everything we have going on, we’re like on totally different pages. Sometimes it feels like totally different planets.”
We got a brief glimpse of this when they showed her and John arguing over their son getting an apartment. Lisa shared, “I just feel like alone sometimes, you know? And it hurts.”
