The Season 7 Real Housewives of Miami reunion became iconic thanks to Julia Lemigova. After feuding all season with former friends Guerdy Abraira and Adriana de Moura, Julia dropped a bomb. She revealed that she and Adriana slept together during a Season 4 RHOM cast trip. Julia was married to Martina Navratilova at the time.
Naturally, Martina wasn’t thrilled with Julia’s decision to share this secret with the world. While she didn’t admit to being in an open relationship with Martina, Julia told reunion host Andy Cohen, “Our marriage was not great.” So, where do Martina and Julia stand now?

After the wild reunion, Julia shared that she was receivng therapy to deal with PTSD and confronting trauma from her past, like the death of her infant son in 2000. Now, Julia is sharing more about her marriage to Martina. “Martina and I have gone through ups and downs like any other couple,” Julia told PEOPLE. “And during one particularly rough time, we decided to open up our relationship.” This period was before Julia appeared on RHOM. However, there were still issues when she began filming. “We were figuring out, that first year, what was going to happen with us.”
Still, Julia didn’t consider their marriage to be “an open-open relationship.” She stated, “It was just a pass as we gave ourselves time to figure things out. And Martina knew about everything. Even with Adriana, I told her.”
She continued, “It became a wake-up call for both of us. And today, we’re in a really great place. Our focus is on each other and on our family.”
Plus, Julia added, “My marriage to Martina is the most sacred part of my life. I hurt her, and I take full responsibility for that. But I’ve asked her for forgiveness and she’s forgiven me.”
