Perhaps Ashley Darby outgrew her house. The Real Housewives of Potomac star notably moved into the very first home she’s ever owned in October 2022. It was six months after she announced her split from Michael Darby. And the charming house was featured on RHOP.
At the time, it felt like a dream home for Ashley and her two sons, Dean, 6, and Dylan, 4. But after several, years, and a lot of personal growth, the RHOP veteran is wondering if there isn’t another place “more suited” to her needs.

Ashley told Bravo’s The Daily Dish that she “loves” her four-bedroom, five-bathroom house located in Arlington, Virginia. The purchase felt like a major financial “accomplishment” at that point in time.
“To be honest, the house that I have now really does check all the boxes,” she told the news outlet. “I have great neighbors. They’re my little neighborhood watch. They all know I’m a single mom, so they’re always looking at my house … They’re always checking out for me, which I’ve always wanted to have. And then in terms of the home itself, it has everything I could ever want or need, you know? Open concept. Ample bedrooms for my children. And I got my glam space. So, it really has everything I could want.”
Ashley continued, “I feel so blessed to have it … But over these last couple of weeks, I’ve really been thinking, like, is there a place that’s more suited for me? It’s the first time I’ve ever lived by myself. So I’m 37, and I bought my house at 34. The first time I’d ever lived alone. I always had a roommate, or my family, or Michael. So that was a big thing.”
Right now, it’s just Ashley and her “little roommates.” Her divorce was finalized in February 2025. But should her family situation change in any way, the house may end up lacking. Her “first house” may not be her “permanent house.”
“What’s that gonna look like? When I merge lives with somebody … when I get married again,” Ashley reflected. “You know, am I gonna build a new house with someone? Are they gonna move in with me? I don’t know … It’s been on my mind heavily lately.”
Some place by the water may be in order. The RHOP star shared that she’s “been spending a bit of time in Florida lately.” She pondered, “maybe this is where I want to be, you know?”
